I arrived in Las Vegas Sat. afternoon and quickly got to my hotel. I was tired but too excited to sleep! After taking
a quick shower, I put on some nice clothes and went into one of the shops in the hotel lobby and bought a single red rose
to give to Davy. Then I got a cab to take me to the Silverton Casino. It was about a 10 minute ride to the casino and I got
there about 5 p.m. The casino was pretty big, but not as nice as the bigger hotels on the strip. I went over to the box and
office and picked up my ticket (not taking any chances, I bought the tik in advance). Then I waited by the door. Around 6
p.m. they opened the doors to have a drawing for those who gambled enough to have earned tickets. I went in to watch, and
to see how the stage and seating were arranged, so I can get a good seat (it was general admission, no assigned seats). After
the drawing, we all had to leave, so they could have a final soundcheck. When I went out again, a line was already forming!
So I quickly got in line and waited.....and waited...but I didn't mind,I was going to see my first Monkee! While in line,
I met a very nice lady name Marilyn and her husband, plus another guy whose name escapes me right now (Sorry!) We had a great time talking about the Monkees and other heavy stuff Her
husband was nice enough to get a bottle of water so I wouldn't lose my place in line! (Thank You!) Finally around 7:10
they let us in and I quickly got a seat in the front row to the right of the stage. It was just a regular wooden stage, no
fence or anything to seperate us! To my right there was a table selling Davy/Monkees stuff so I bought a cd of Davy and Micky
doing a 2002 show in Toronto. Then the wait was over. Around 8 p.m. a local dj from an oldies station came on and welcomed
us to the show. Then he left, and then the band started to come on stage one by one and began playing Listen to the Band.
There was a keyboard player, a drummer, three guys on trumpets and a lady playing sax and keyboards, plus I think another
guy on guitar. It kind of looks like the same crew in the picture in the cd I bought at the show. Finally,
Finally! Davy walks on the stage! He was wearing a pink shirt and black slacks. His hair was short and he seemed to be in good shape! He tried
to stop the band a few times but they just kept on playing until they stopped. Davy said hi to us all told us how nice it was
to be in Vegas. I can't remember all the songs he sang, but he did sing "Girl", "Valleri", "Stepping Stone", (which surprised
me since I thought that was a "Micky" song), "She hangs out", "Consider Yourself", the "Brady Bunch" theme song, he did others
which I can't think of right now, but Davy can sure move around the stage...he was only a few feet from me! I took several
pics with a disposable camera, in case pics weren't allowed and it was confiscated, but the flashbulbs were going off all
over the place, so I didn't have to worry about that. In between songs, Davy joked about Micky, Peter and Mike. He said
they were old and he visits them in the old age home because they owe him money! He talked about Micky being in "Aida", and talked
about his life on broadway and other things. He seemed to have a great time talking about the John Wayne Bobbit story which
his you-know-what was cut off and thrown away. Davy kept wondering what the police had do trying to find it... Okayyy.....now
to the very best part!! It was getting to the end of the concert (after 9 p.m.) and I still hadn't given Davy his rose!
I wasn't sure when I should do it. Finally, when it seemed like the band was starting to wind down, I got up my courage and
walked over to the stage, holding the rose in my outstretched hands. I smiled and cocked my head a little as if to say, "Please
do me the honor of accepting this rose." Davy had been walking away and had turned around a seen me. He smiled in sort of
an "Aw, for me?" kind of way, and walked over and took the rose out of my hand... Then...then..... Davy
bent down, took my arms and.....KISSED ME! I
had no idea he would do that! I just had enough time to pucker my lips a little so that I could kiss him too. I kissed him
on the left side of his lips and part of his cheek. Davy walked back and I walked back to my seat and started screaming!
My friend Marilyn was so happy for me! She was screaming too and grabbing my arm! Davy did a few more songs and several other
people came up and Davy shook hands with them...including Marilyn. I think I was the only one to give him flowers. I'm only
sorry that I didn't give my camera to the guy sitting next to me so I might've gotten a picture, but I'll always have that
memory. Soon, too soon, Davy left the stage, amid cheers and screams for more. Unfortunately, Davy didn't do any encores and
didn't do any signing because of the stupid raffle the casino was having again at 10 p.m. I didn't care, really, I was just
sooo happy that I got to see Davy...and got a kiss too! So that's my review folks!

The concert was to start at 2:30, but I got there around 2. As I was driving past the house, I saw Peter just getting
out of his car and going into the house! I later found out he and James had driven 5 hours to get to the concert! So the
concert was held in the living room, with several chairs arranged in a semi-circle around two chairs and a small electric
piano. I sat at the edge of an aisle only a few feet from the performers! Anyway, James came on first around 2:45 and did a tremendous set of songs. He is a very funny and talented
guy! I just wish I could remember some of the names of the songs. James had the crowd of about 50-60 people in stitches with his jokes. After about an hour or so, James
introduced Peter. He was wearing all black, and looking very fine! He started our with "Do I have to do this all over again?", then he played the electic piano for a few songs. After
awhile, he brought out his banjo, but had a little trouble tuning it. But of course, he did tune it and played several more
songs. Peter did an Elvis song (forgot the name again ) and really got everyone going when he swung his hips back and forth! I grabbed my camera and asked him to
do it again! He did! It was hysterical how he started to walk around like a Frankenstein monster! After Peter was done,
their was an intermission, where we all had our fill of pop, cookies and so forth. Peter and James came back to the living
room and started playing again, so we all quickly came back in. They played "Milkshake", "Lady Madonna", and "Pleasant Valley
Sunday". (I was singing along to the last two songs-I hope Peter heard me!) It was after 5 when the two of them stopped. Afterwards James was
selling his and Peter's cd's and signing any cd that you bought. I bought a Peter and James cd and James signed it. I then
handed him a bouquet of flowers, which James seemed very touched to received. Then, I waited in line to see Peter. I
re-applied my lipstick while in line (lol) then I gave him another bouquet of flowers. I wished him an early happy birthday.
He signed my cd and a few other pics I had of him and that 'other group' he was with. I told him what an honor it was to meet
him. He said "You think so?" I said "yes." I then asked if I could have a picture taken with him! He was very nice and said
yes! Afterwards (brazen hussy that I am) I gave him a small kiss on the lips!!! I said 'thank you' to him and he said 'thank
YOU' back! *sighs* I had to sit back down in the living room for a few minutes to collect myself! It turns out that
I didn't sit down long enough! let me explain.... I reluctantly left the party around 6 and drove home. I was only a few
blocks away from home, when I got a call on my cell phone from my Mom telling me I took
the wrong coat! The coat I was wearing was the same color as my own, but it was much shorter! You'd think I'd notice that?
I quickly made a bee-line back to the house! It turns out I had the coat of a lady named Leigh and she was
very nice about it all! She had her car keys in her pocket, so she was stuck at the house! But, Peter and James were still
there, so she survived. Good thing I had left a shopping card in my pocket, so I was able to be traced! I blamed it all on
Peter of course, he had me so shook up, I grabbed the first coat on the bed that looked like mine! As for pictures...well,
I have one posted on the picture page. Anyway, I just had a great time, had a lot of fun! I'm sooo happy I met Peter!
And kissed him too! Now its on to Micky in NYC!
