The Glenwood Public Library Update

(as submitted to the 11/06/03
edition of the Glenwood Herald)

The “un-bake” sale fundraiser has brought in $67.00 of the $176.00 required to buy
the books on Argentina, Ecuador, El Salvador, Iraq and Mexico that the library needs.
Thank you, library supporters! Young people doing country reports for school will thank
you when we have these needed reference materials on hand.

Susan Lantz, the super library volunteer, is now a published author.
A book entitled “Christian Homes and Special Kids”, contains a chapter
written by her titled, “Daniel, Our Son With Spina Bifida.” This book, published
by NATTHAN/CHASK, gives a “personal glimpse into the lives of Christian families
privately educating their disabled children.” NATTHAN is the NATional cHallenged
Homeschoolers Associated Network and CHASK (Christian Homes And Special Kids)
is a support ministry for parents who have been informed that their baby may be born
with some form of special need. This book contains inspiring stories and practical
suggestions for teaching children. Copies are on sale at the library at cost, $17.00 per
book. Susan is available to sign copies on an as needed basis.
(I couldn’t talk her into a book-signing party!)

The Glenwood Public Library is open Monday – Friday, 12:00 noon – 5:00 PM.
