From the Blue Ridges to the Sandhills: The History of 4 North Carolina Families

Members of Les Fleurs de la Memoire, at the grave of Vincent G. Lord

Robert Briggs and the Memory Flowers Association of France

Les Fleurs de la Mémoire, The Memory Flowers Association, places flowers on the graves of American soldiers who were buried far from home, some of whose families may never have seen their graves. A French family places flowers on the graves of Robert and two other soldiers who died in Normandy in 1944, Jack Chinnici and Vincent G. Lord. All three were members of the 38th General Services Regiment of the United States Army and are buried at Colleville sur Mer. This kind family shared these photographs with us.
