Victory report submitted on 8/13/2004 by Pastor L. Hodgdon of Apostolic Holiness Church ME.

"I brought a lady with me to M.A.W.P. (the 2004 conference) and she was bound by the things of her past. After one of the afternoon services 4 of us along with this lady and Jesus set her free as it says in Luke 4:18. She fell under the ministering of the Holy Ghost and when she went home she had an ear to hear the Spirit and was delivered of cigarettes. She now has a spiritual hearing ear because the chains were broken and God set her free. She now has hope when all hope was gone. God still works in setting sinners free and delivering them from prisons!"

I am so very excited about the nursing home. Two were baptized in the Lovely, powerful, awesome, name of Jesus this morning. Both received the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues and it looks like revival might break out in Briar Hill Nursing Home.

Just wanted to share this with everyone. A group from our church goes to the nursing home about three times a month. I have heard that some teach that it is a waste of time and I must admit it has it's dicouraging moments.

This is the third year we have been going and we have witnessed the move of God on many many occasions. Yesterday as I wheeled the eighty two year old lady back to her room; we could sense a special presence of God . She told me that the Lord had brought her there and He was going to be there with her. She said that she had lived for the Lord 72 years. I sat down near her and asked her if she had the holy Ghost. She said yes. I asked if she spoke in tongues and she said No. I can't do that she said. No I can't do that she repeated. I had been given by the Lord an object lesson for the service that day and it didn't seem to go with anything, but I knew that the Lord had told me to take a bottle of water and a little food coloring and show that nothing happened to the water until the food coloring was added to the water. I did it in front of everyone. I used faith as the food coloring and whaterver we wanted as the water. Sitting beside this lady I reminded her of the object lesson and asked her if she believed. She said yes she believed and we began to pray. Immediately she began to speak in the most beautiful tongues as the Spirit of God gave the utterance. Hallelujah.

There's so many doors open if we will just walk through them for the Lord. Nursing Homes, jails, half-way houses , and I could go on and on as to the doors. The harvest is ripe, but where are the labourers. "Here am I , send me" is our prayer.
