What is the MAWP ? MAWP is a fellowship of women who meet to share their experiences, strengths and hopes with one another in order that they may solve common ministerial concerns and assist those who still struggle with the needs of the women in ministry. MAWP is a Oneness Apostolic Pentecostal Fellowship. We would like to unite all Apostolic Women Ministers, UPC, or otherwise, as the Lord leads. What is the purpose of the MAWP ? It is our primary purpose to support those women who are Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers, Missionaries, ect. and all those ladies who feel the call of God in their life. We welcome in fellowship and friendly understanding those who share our common burden. Is the MAWP for you ? Only you can decide that question. No one else knows the needs and concerns you are facing. We in MAWP have found comfort in fellowship which enables us to draw strength from one another thus fulfilling the commandment, "...that ye love one another, as I have loved you" (John 15:12). There is no shame, of course, in admitting you need fellowship and support. The most important thing is to do something about it. |
What does the MAWP offer you ? FELLOWSHIP--which dispels loneliness. Knowing we have an opportunity to share brings about a oneness of spirit when two or more are on the same side of a struggle. ENCOURAGEMENT--in our times of fellowship we can communicate encouragement to one another and help clear any pollution which negative thoughts can leave behind. Together as we work for the Lord and fulfill our calling, newly-made friendship may develop whose "pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones" (Proverbs 16:24 NIV) UNDERSTANDING of the ministerial concerns that you face now--and share, almost certainly, with the others in the fellowship. The natural result of our mutual understanding will bring strength and hope to those who are yet struggling. First Thess. 5:11 NIV says, "therefore encourage one another and build each other up...". COUNSEL--because of the wealth of experience some have, the understanding and compassion of the group may offer nuggets of wisdom. It is truely refreshing when one can help to apply the ways of God in a difficult situation. Proverbs 27:9 says "ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man's friend by hearty counsel." |
