Gas Tank Orchestra is an eclectic array of players from different musical backgrounds.

The improvisational nature of the orchestra is an opportunity for the musicians to explore the possibilities of their unique instruments.

One could call it an open experiment in sound.

GTO performed semi-regularly at various clubs in New Orleans, toured the United States, and last performed live at the Pori International Jazz Festival in 2001.

The most recent lineup consisted of Gregory John Wildes, Dana Cross, Kathleen Kraus, Bunny Polenco, Andy Hervey, and Matthew Rosenbeck.

Past players include: Carey Burtt, James Digiovana, Jeff Krone, J. Poggi, Jamie, Chris Wassel, Matt Vis, Matt Salada, John Henry, Jimmy, Lisa, Joseph, Jason, Vanessa Smith, Kelvin, Dreiky Caprice, Simon Cheffins, Markus Wolff, Rebecca Snyder, Michelle Schmida, Kent, Scott Magee, and many more.
