Kirk K is the creator and founder of Next Records Stl. Kirk started Next Records in 1998 using a virtual sampler on his Macintosh G-3 to sample and sequence voices from his various drum machines and synthesizers. The addictive lure of creating his own songs coupled with his interest in underground electronic music fueled his desire to evolve Next Records into a full time electronic music production house and independent label. The addition of two new artists in 1999 would send Next Records to the next level. Harry H and Greg Z joined with Kirk in the studio adding new depth to the music that seemed to work perfectly. They became co-founders of Next Records for their unmatchable contributions both musically and technically in the studio. 2001 saw the addition of two killer DJs: SHORT E and M@ A. Again more depth added with the bridging of the turntable/instrument gap in the studio. Next Records is currently in the studio working on a new project.

Harry H brought with him a new edge in the synthesizer realm of our songs by introducing the RedSound Dark Star to Next Records studio and our basslines were never the same. He also brought with him an almost natural mastery of virtual and hardware MIDI theory and operation. Harry is responsible for programming the MIDI heart of our instrument rig which allows us total control over all of our instruments via multiple MIDI maps. His mastery of MIDI systems as well as his excellent creative touch to the music both compositionally and emotionally are huge assets to Next Records. Harry is a producer, composer and co-founder of Next Records.

Greg Z came to the table with lead synth lines and melodies that were just what the doctor ordered for a lot of our tracks. From Anthem to Candle Song, his melodies can be uplifting or deep and dark and are always filled with emotions that take you for a musical ride. Gregs experience as a DJ in the early 90s combined with his keyboard playing and compositional skills have earned him a place within Next Records ranks as a producer, composer,
and co-founder.
