Emigration             10 Oct 1726   London, England; Peter Gelstrap bound himself to John Taylor, emigration agent for Maryland, Virginia, etc., to serve in Jamaica. This book notes that each slip wasn't always labeled correctly, and that some people noted as bound to Jamaica went to Maryland and vice versa.[3],[4]

Marriage        circa __ ___ 1731   Rachel Aydelott (b. circa 1710,          ); Somerset County, Maryland; Peter Gilstrap would have served out his four year indenture by 1731. If he went to Jamaica, it seems unlikely that he could have finished up service, bought passage to America, AND been married in one year.[5]

Tax Record:           03 Oct 1765   Craven County, North Carolina; Read the petition of Peter Gillstrap praying to be excused from publick taxes on account of his poorly infirmity and old age. The same was granted and ordered that the 9sic0 certify the same to the Assembly.[29]

Death          __ Oct 1767-28 Apr 1768   Craven County, North Carolina; Dates of the deeds of Peter Sr.'s son Peter Jr. during which time he lost his 'Jr.' designation.[30],[31]
