ps. 150-151: 247,8--Feb. 26, 1791 Nathan Weatherington of Dobbs Co. N.C., to William 
Hawkins of Jones Co. N.C. for 100 pds. (as acting attorney for Joseph Crethers of 
Virginia) 100 acres in Craven Co. N.C. at Jacob Wells swamp being grant to Samuel 
Gilliard, and now land lies in Jones Co. N.C. Wts: George Metts, Jr., Henry Gilstrop.

1779-1781, Book of entries of Lands in the county of Jones, N.C.  Mar. 15, 1779 kept 
by Lemuel Hatch, entry taken, with Edward Whitty and Edmund Hatch his securities in 
the sum of two thousand pounds
p.6: 101--Dec. 27, 1779 Ilet Gilstrap. 50 acres on north side of Fernes line 
joininghis own line and including part of Grasy Swamp and George Becton's line.

1787-1793, Entering office of Claim for Lands in the county of Jones, N.C., opened 
Sept. 25, 1787 by James Harrison, entry taker, who has entered into bond in the sum 
of ......with Frederick Foscue and John Brown as his securities.

suit brought by William Connerley against Emanuel Harvey, late of said Co., ordered 
to sell 200 acres belonging to said Harvey on W. side of Gum swamp adjoining land of  
Idolet Gilstrop, Robert Reynolds, John Gilstrops which was patented by Harvey, Oct. 
6, 1767. Bought by William Connerley. Wts: Lewis Bryan.

p.125: 220-221-- Nov. 19, 1782 Thomas Fern to Zenos Swilley for 400 pds. 132 acres 
including the plantation whereon Thomas Fern now resides and land he holds by deed 
from Idolet Gilstrop which was patented by Nathan Chance,May 5, 1769 on S. side of 
river above Moseleys creek at George Bratcher's and Gilstrop's lines, George 
Bection's line. Wts: Wm. Knox, Jno. Becton.

p.137, 138: 100,101--Mar.17, 1786 Zenos Swilley to John Shean for 75 pds 130 acres on 
S. side of Neuse River above Moseleys creek at George Brinson's line, Idolet 
Gilstrop's line, George Becton's line including the plantation whereon Zenos Swilley 
now lives and all that land he bought of Thomas Fern and was patented by Nathan 
Foscue, May 5, 1769 Wts: Idolet Gilstrop, George Becton.

Deed Book G (1792-1795)
p. 176: 362-364--April, 26, 1794 John Skean to Abraham Kornegay for 100 pounds land 
which was granted May 5, 1769, to Nathan Chance and conveyed to Idolet Gilstrop and 
he to Thomas Fearn and he to Zenos  Swilley and he to John Skean.  Lying on south 
side of Trent above Moseley's creek on SE side of Pudding Branch, at George Becton's 
line to Idolet Gilstrop's line and along George Becton's line to beginning.  Wts: 
Alex Skean, Marmaduke Cox. 

Deed Book H (1792-1795)
p.219: 589-591--Aug. 4, 1796 Idolet Gilstrop to William Isler for 200 pds. 300 acres 
in three different patents. 200 acres, patented 1765, at John Gilstrop's corner near 
Alum Springs in Moseley's creek swamp and 50 acres, patented 1782, near George 
Becton'sline, Fern's line and his own line. 50 acres patented 1793, on his own and 
William Connerly's and Fern's lines.  Wts: John Isler, John Wise.  Reg. Feb. 1798.

Abstracts of the Deeds, Book 14.  The first 24 pages. of this book are missing. 
Thomas Spight, Register from Tuesday, June 8, 1813 - Mar., 1815, on Jan. 25, 1819 
makes another notation.  There are 487 pages in this book, preceded by index.   
p. 504: 41,42-- Aug. 8, 1812 William Connerly to Lewis Lofton for $400.00 a tract of 
land which was conveyed from John Gilstrop to William Connerly Sr., deceased, June 
15, 1766, containing 178 acres; and another tract conveyed from Isaac Bryan, high 
sheriff of Jones Co, to William Connerly, Sr., deceased, Dec. 28, 1784, on Gum Swamp 
to John Gilstrop's line and at Idolet Gilstrop's line, containing 200 acres.  Wts: 
John Richards, Littleton Hawkins.

Deed Book 15 (1819-1822) 
p.552; 8,9--Nov. 16, 1818     In court of Equity William Isler sued Daniel 
Simmons,John Coombs, and Asa Hatch ...court directs that Daniel Simmons and John 
Coombs execute a good deed to land from Asa Hatch to William Isler, which land was 
granted to Nathan Chance, May 5, 1769, and conveyed to Idolet Gilstrap and he 
toThomas Fern and from Fern to Zenos Swilley and from him to John Skean and from him 
to Abraham Kornegay and Kornegay to Asa Hatch and he to Isler, on the east side of a 
swamp at John Becton's line, to said Isler's line, containing 51 acres. Wts: Simmons 
Isler.

Land Grants(1784-1792)
p.66: 262--April 15, 1798, Grant No. 720. To William Isler for 10 acres on Fraleys 
swamp at his own line at Cornely's to John Gilstop's (sic) line.  Entered Sept. 8, 
1795.

Deed Book 23 (1856-1867)
p.919: 261--Jan. 18, 1819 Recorded Dec. term, 1859. Lewis Loftin to John Cobb, of 
Lenoir Co. for $2595.00, land on Reedy Branch at Hawkins' line, contains 227 acres; 
another tract, patented by Wm. Connerly, contains 60 acres,; another tract at William 
Hawkin' s line to Wm. Connerly's line, to Alexander Skeen's line, containing 100 
acres, a tract containing 170 acres and a tract on John Gilstrop's line containing 
200 acres.  Wts: W. Allen, James G. Herritage.

p.919: 263-- Jan. 16, 1819, Dec. term 1859. Lewis Loftin to John Cobb, all my right 
in lands whereon I now live, which I hold as right of my wife's dower, on Gilstrop's 
line.  Wts: James B. Herritage, W.P.Allen.

p. 921: 282-283--Montgomery Co. Alabama, Jan. 7, 1860.  F.H.Cobb to Amos Hardy, of 
Lenoir Co. N.C., for $4000.00, lands in Jones Co., N.C. One tract on north side of 
Harry's Branch, to Hawkins' line, containing 227 acres; a tract patented by William 
Connerly, for 60 acres; a tract on William Hawkins' at Connerly's line and Skeen's 
line, contains 100 acres; a tract containing 170 acres, and a tract on John 
Gilstrop's line, containing 200 acres; a tract on Fracey's swamp, on John Gilstrop's 
line, containing 200 acres; and a tract on Tracey's (sic) swamp, containing 100 
acres, adjoining Daniel Simmons' line, to Lewis Morris's line, containing 100 acres.
