     Jacob died some time before the 1820 Census on which the "Widow Lightner" was enumerated along with one female under 16 and one female under 26 years of age. Son-in-law John Seltzer and his family were enumerated just prior to Margaretha, then in Bethel Township, Lebanon County. Margaret Leitner, of Jackson Township, Lebanon County, made her will 11 January 1827 and it was proved 26 January 1828.

  1. ANNA MARIA LEITNER, born 27 February 1776 and baptized at St. Paul's (Klopp) Church, Lebanon County, 10 March 1776 - sponsors were Balthasar and Anna Maria Noll. Anna Maria had married John Artz but she had died by the time her mother made a will in January 1827.
     
      Children:   JOHN;   ANNA MARIA, married John Oxenreiter;   CATHARINE, married Jacob Kleik.
     
  2. PETER or JOHN LEITNER. An unnamed child of Jacob and Margaret was baptized at St. Paul's (Klopp) Church, Lebanon County, 12 February 1779 - sponsor was Peter Leitner. This may otherwise be John, a son named in the will of his mother dated 11 January 1827. She willed that her "son John Leitner (if alife) ... shall not have nor receive any part or portion of my real or Personal estate".

  3. MARIA REGINA LEITNER, born 24 January 1780 and baptized at St. Paul's (Klopp) Church, Lebanon County, 27 February 1780 - sponsor was Regina Detzler. Regina was living and married to John Seltzer when her mother made a will in January 1827.

  4. MAGDALENA LEITNER, born 19 October 1781 and baptized at St. Paul's (Klopp) Church, Lebanon County, 18 November 1781 - sponsor was Magdalena Eder. Magdalena was living and married to Christopher Noecker when her mother made a will in January 1827.

George was alive when his mother made a will in January 1827, but she wrote that he "shall not have nor receive any part of my Real or personal estate whatsoever because my said son George Leitner received more of his Father in the land he got of him then all his sisters or my other children. Therefore I do hereby expressly order and direct that my said son George Leitner shall not receive any part of my estate whatever and shall be entirely debared and excluded of the same."
