Emaleigh was the bravest
little girl I've ever known; our courageous little Angel. Emaleigh embraced her illness and proved through strength and
a bit of stubbornness she was willing to do . . . the thing . . . that had to be done.

Friends, with a heavy heart, I
share this last news of Emaleigh's Journey.
God's plan for Emaleigh's life has reached
it's final goal. This morning at 6:55, God gathered His Sweetest Angel; our precious Emaleigh.
Emaleigh is singing, tap-dancing,
cheerleading, painting, planting flowers, brushing her beautiful long brown tresses, is pain free and cancer free. Emaleigh
is Free at last of her suffering. She is in the arms of Almighty God. In the presence of Glory.
For six months, Emaleigh battled cancer. We
thought the new drug Topetecan was a ray of hope against this horrible, wicked disease.
But it wasn't to be.
Though literally thousands of prayers
went up in Emaleigh's behalf, God chose to bring her unto Himself.
His will was done.
No details are necessary while we
respect her parents wishes that this last phase of her illness be kept private.
Please pray for peace and comfort for
Emaleigh's parents, grandparents and other family members.
Emaleigh remains our
miracle baby, our pearl, our diamond, our sunshine. Now we all come together, loving her still, through memories. And, we
must keep that sunshine bright and shining in those memories.
She lives on in our hearts, and through
memories that will suffice a lifetime.
Thank you for months of prayer, consoling
e-mails and by whatever means you contributed toward Emaleigh's happiness.
There is no way we can ever forget your
loving generosities toward our precious Emaleigh and for that - I love you.

Most of this site will
remain, as hundreds still read her story. A story that can be changed for others through cancer research and God's plan.

Emaleigh's surgery went well and with no complications. There was no stay in ICU. A good thing.
Emaleigh’s dad carried her to the surgical floor with mom beside them around
10:45 am.
With Emaleigh’s diagnosis of Stage IV, Anaplasia-Unfavorable Histology, the
doctors decision was to remove the tumor along with the entire right kidney.
At 1:30, Emaleigh was in recovery and around 2:15, back in her room surrounded by
two rooms full of loved ones. She was a very brave little girl, and we’re all so proud of her.
On Saturday, Emaleigh was awake enough to tell us she was hungry. This is not a little
thing. Her appetite, previously, was almost nothing.
Radiation will begin next week and twenty more weeks of chemo will resume.
Now, we're looking forward to the road to recovery, though it will be a long one,
and getting settled into home life and back to school.
Please check back for further updates if you care to follow Emaleigh's progress.
Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes. God Bless.
August 22, 2003 Emaleigh's surgery is scheduled for Thursday, August 28.
Time is tentatively scheduled for 11am. Please pray for Emaleigh, her family, nurses, doctors and surgeons. We pray God
will guide the surgeons hands for a successful surgery. We serve a Great God and Praise Him for the Healing, as it's already
designated in the plan.
August 18, 2003 Thank you, thank you, thank you. Prayers from all over the country
were heard and responded to by God. Emaleigh's scan today confirmed the chemotherapy
is working! Thank God. Surgery will be scheduled after the doctor and surgeon confer and
make a decision as to the best protocol for her. Again - your prayers were and are still needed. Emaleigh still has a long road
to travel on her path to recovery. Keep the prayers going!
July 15, 2003 After a total of eleven days in the hospital,
Emaleigh is home. Chemo treatment will continue for five weeks, then doctors will perform another scan to see if any of the
right kidney may possibly be saved. If the tumor hasn't shrunk enough, they will remove the right affected kidney. Schedule
for surgery is tentative; somewhere around the end of August, 2003 or the first of September, unless plans change.
