                                Bluebird Trail Monitors Needed

          Volunteers are needed to maintain and monitor Giant City's 

Bluebird Trail for the nesting season from late March through August 2009.  Nest box monitoring includes weekly visits (every 7-10 days) to keep boxes clean, record data on nest, eggs, and young including predation.  No experience is necessary.  Training provided by the Volunteer Bluebird Coordinator.  Please contact Amber at 618-457-3658 to sign up, or if you need more information.

 

Board Meetings:        Wednesdays, at 5:30 p.m.

                          Please come with your ideas to help us support 

                          Giant City State Park!  All Board meetings are

                      held at the Visitors Center unless otherwise noticed.

 

Visitors Center assistance is always appreciated on busy weekends.

If you would like to spend a couple of hours greeting visitors from around the globe at our lovely sandstone facility, please call to schedule a day! 

 

Our goal is to have a Friends of Giant City member in the center every weekend, although, any combination of hours on weekdays or weekends in the morning or afternoon are appreciated. 

No minimum number of hours is required for this opportunity and concessions can always

be made for travels or other commitments.
