LGB Forney

I completed the main portion of the model in the middle of September 2003. The model has new running boards, an oil bunker,
an open cab and Sierra Sound installed. I need to finish the detailing and weathering.

Side Tank Prairie

Bachmann's new Mining Mogul was a little too dainty for my liking. I found while searching through my idea books a 2-6-2t
locomotive built for logging by The Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1913. The locomotive was built for a logging oufit in Castle
Rock, Washington. I started by modifying the original cab using 1/32" aircraft plywood and styrene. The bunker and
side tanks were built from styrene. An Ely Thomas Shay stack was added to replicate the one on the real locomotive. This
is a great little machine that pulls well when you add 2 pounds of lead to the boiler and side tanks.
