Please download one of the above files and mail or send e-mail with required information. All participants must have signed waiver of liability on file before being allowed to play on the day of the tournament.

If anyone has difficulty with downloading the above files, we can attach them to an e-mail -- just let us know your file format of choice (Word or PDF), and contact us at gfchess@earthlink.net.

You may also register on-line by filling in the form on the bottom of this page. If registering by e-mail or on-line, please sign the waiver of liability (available on-site) and submit your payment before the beginning of the first round.

SCHOLASTIC TOURNAMENT

Location: Green Fields Country Day School, 6000 N. Camino de la
Tierra, Tucson (one block SE of Orange Grove and Thornydale),

Format: 4 rounds, USCF-rated, 3 sections (K-3, K-6 and Open),
time control G/45. Please bring chess sets and clocks.

Round times: 9:00 AM, 10:45 AM, 12:30 PM and 2:15 PM

Prizes to top 3 individuals in each section, top U600 and U800 in
K-3 and K-6, and top 2 teams in each section. Five medals to be awarded for best game, biggest upset, etc. Ribbons for those not receiving trophies.

Fee: $15 (please join USCF in advance) if received by Sept.16, $20
afterwards or on-site.

Registration: by mail, e-mail at gfchess@earthlink.net or on-site.

Please arrive by 8:15 AM if registering on-site or if not prepaid (email
registration). Make checks payable to Green Fields Chess.

Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase during the entire
tournament as well as pizza during lunch.

Participants are expected to have proper supervision and to
behave responsibly. Anyone found damaging school property or
in restricted areas will be asked to leave and will forfeit any
remaining games.
