SCOTUS Lowdown. With all the Supreme Court decisions being handed down this week, one may by curious about the generations of the Justices. The following table gives the lowdown:
As far as any relationship between the generation of a Justice and his or her opinions in recent cases, the only pattern I can discern is that the lone Boomer, Thomas, is usually dissenting from the majority. Many years from now, when the Court is mostly Boomers instead of mostly Silents, it will hand out judgements in which the state's interest is perceived to be morality, as opposed to diversity.
