The gentle, unruffled mother of the Raccoon Family has a calm that pervades everything she says and does. Situations that would send lesser beings into fits of gibbering insanity barely elicit a blink from her. She teaches at a local elementary school, and some of her pupils (who are known for their ability to drive teachers nuts) are dying to graduate from her class just to escape her genuinely eerie (to them) aura of calm.
Like most mothers, Patient has the insight that comes with having children. Unlike some mothers, though, Patient knows the hearts and minds of her family more thorougly than some people know their own. All three of the Raccoon Kids know better nine times out of ten than to even consider trying to 'put one over' on their Mom. Where things start to get weird is that their Mom not only knows that, but knows precisely where and when that one time out of ten will be. And tells them so. Kids being kids, she understands. Patient being Patient, she never gets upset at such things. :)
Apart from the aforementioned abilities, what Patient can do is mostly shrouded in mystery at the present. It seems widely regarded by those who know her that the almost palpable aura of calm she carries around is pretty awesome as it is. Inside sources claim, however, that she is holding in reserve some other abilities... the nature of which are at the moment undefined. Patient herself seems in no hurry to reveal any of the details. On those very, very few occasions where any attempts were made to press her for more info, her husband Gruff has oddly enough just happened to be present. Questioning understandably ceased, abruptly...
Special note:
An advance apology is in order to all who read this information, for there is at the moment a story being developed by me that will go much deeper into the origins and history of the Raccoon Family than that which has been so far revealed. The personality profiles that you will find here at the present time are therefore (though accurate and true as far as what is presented) slightly incomplete. This is done not to mislead the reader, but to maintain a measure of suspense for the stories to come. Your patience and understanding are appreciated. <:)
