The oldest sibling in the Raccoon family is an utterly unshakable vessel of total self-assurence. His mind is literally incapable of conceiving the thought of failure in any endeavor he sets his paw to, with the result that the majority of those endeavors are crowned with success. It is one of those strange truths of life that the thought of failure is actually what causes so many people to fail. Confident does not harbor even the parenthetic thought that he can do anything but succeed, and therefore he does.
Contrary to what one might initially think, Confident never, ever boasts, swaggers, or tries to "lord it over" his younger brother and sister. There is never any need for him to behave as though he is 'better' than anyone else. Confident knows instinctively that such behaviour is not an indication of confidence; just the opposite in fact. Loud, ostentatious boastfulness is an indication of a lack of self-confidence. The oldest Raccoon Kid doesn't need to "parade" his ability; he knows he has it and he behaves accordingly. The most that one will ever see out of him is a quietly smug smile...
Much as is the case with his Mom, Confident's other abilities are mostly shrouded in mystery at the moment. It's obvious that the totality of his confidence would inspire the other members of his family. But there have been hints that there could be much more to it than that. At the moment, however, that's all there are: just hints. The dramatic manifestations of deeper abilities that have already taken place with his brother and sister have not yet occured on his part. This is almost certainly due to change soon...
Special note:
An advance apology is in order to all who read this information, for there is at the moment a story being developed by me that will go much deeper into the origins and history of the Raccoon Family than that which has been so far revealed. The personality profiles that you will find here at the present time are therefore (though accurate and true as far as what is presented) slightly incomplete. This is done not to mislead the reader, but to maintain a measure of suspense for the stories to come. Your patience and understanding are appreciated. <:)
