William Judson (1593-1662)Grace Ann Porter (1597-1659)William Judson was born in Kirby Moorside, near Helmsley, North Riding, Yorkshire, England. William arrived in America in 1634 with his wife, Grace Ann Porter and three sons, Joseph, Jeremiah and Joshua, all born in England. He first settled in Concord, Massachusetts, where he lived four years. In 1638, he came to the Stratford CT area. He was the first settler of the new town, preceding the other settlers by one year. The Judson family became one of the most prominent families in Connecticutt. William was one of the group representing the town at the General Assembly of Connecticutt. Grace died in New Haven 29 Sept 1659. William then married, 2nd, Elizabeth Wilmot on 8 February 1660. William and Grace had four children: Grace Judson 1617-? Joseph Judson 1619-1690 m. Sarah Porter Jeremiah Judson 1621-1700 m. Sarah Craig Joshua Judson 1630-1661 m. Ann Porter
William died in New Haven CT 29 July 1662.
Joshua Judson (1630-1661)Ann PorterAnn was a daughter of John Porter. It might be assumed that the Sarah Porter who married Joshua's brother, Joseph, was her sister. Joshua and Ann had three known children: Ann Judson bp. 1656 m. Arthur Perry Joshua Judson 1658-? died young Samuel Judson 1660-1725 m. Mary Bostwick
Joshua died in 1661 at age 31. Ann then married (2nd) John Hurd.
Anna Judson (1656-?)Arthur Perry (1651-1709)Arthur was a son of Arthur Perry and Elizabeth Cromwell. The young couple settled in Stratford CT, and had 13 children, all born in Stratford:
