John Elderkin was born about 1600 in Lynn, Essex, MA, as was Abigail.

They were married about 1630 in Lynn, and had four children:

   Palthiah Elderkin	1632-1712  m. Daniel Comstock
   Hannah Elderkin	1634-?
   John Elderkin	1637-?
   Abigail Elderkin	1641-?

Palthiah was born in Norwich CT; the other three children were born in Dedham MA.

There are no further children recorded of this marriage. Abigail died sometime between 1641 and 1660.

John, now age about 60 married second, Elizabeth Drake on 1 Mar 1659/60 at Windsor, Hartford CT. From the birth information on his children of the second family, he must have moved back to Norwich.

There were five children of this second marriage, all born in Norwich CT:

   Bathshua Elderkin	1665-?
   James Elderkin	1670-?
   Joseph Elderkin	1672-?

John Elderkin died 22 Jun 1687 in Norwich CT.
