USA Today begins to cover special events with the Canon RC-760 camera.

Both Kodak and Fuji introduce novel disposable cameras, such as the Kodak Fling.

PhotoMac is the first image manipulation program available for the Macintosh computer

Kodak announces the development of its Photo CD system.
Digital camera technology is released by most major camera manufacturers.

1996

Advanced Photo System (APS) is introduced, a new system of photography integrating a 24-mm film format, cameras, and photofinishing equipment. Features of the system include: leaderless cassette, easy loading and unloading, smaller cameras, three print formats - standard, moderate wide-angle, and panoramic - interchangeable on the same roll of film.

Advantix Camera is introduced.

Digital Cameras widely available. Next geneartion able to capture 10 Megapixel and above. PC's, in some cases, now offer front access slots to plug in memory modules and devices.
