*Welcome*	Our Welcoming page to you. We also briefly explain the reasons why Genealogy Planet exists and what you may find here. If you clicked the turning globe first at the top of any page, Welcome to our planet :~)
*Surnames*	This page shows you what surnames (or last names) are on our family tree. Two lists are available for viewing, one by alphabetical sorting of surname, the other by ahentafael sorting (see the Glossary page for a description of ahentafael.)
*Origins*	This area, originally one of the main areas of our site, has been merged into the Surnames area so that we may expand Genealogy Planet with a new area that will include an area of maps that may be viewed (coming soon.) *Our Origins* area includes a list of some of the surnames we are researching and their immigration routes before and after reaching America and Canada.**
*Galleries*	Three seperate Galleries are here. The first showcases over 140 years of Phototgraphs of our Ancestors. The second includes a collection of ornately drawn carte de visite Illustrated Backings and also a section describing the reasons for the 1864 Luxury Tax that was applied to photographs. The third consists of a History of Photography area that is set up in a timeframe fashion.
*Writings*	An area for the posting of our ancestors writings appears here in our Writings area. These may include books written, write-ups in periodicals, memorial tributes, personal correspondance and inspirational messaages.
*Searches*	Search Genealogy Planet through a basic or an advancesd search engine in our Searches area. Also included are some genealogical search engines and other genealogical sites that we hope will help you along in your research..
*Maps*	*The Maps area is under construction as of Sep. 10, 2001. If you would like to view our Map Links* page please click here. Our newest area at Genealogy Planet. When complete this area will contain thumbnails of maps that you may click on to view full size maps.**
*Links*	Three major catagories comprise our Links area. The General Links area includes five catagories which are Favorites, Link 101 for beginners, worldwide National Archives, worldwide Newspapers, and over 50 Passenger Lists. The History Links area consists of five catagories of which include General, Immigration, Regional, Religious and War. *Our Maps Links* area is sorted into five catagories including Historical, Learning, Rare, Real Time and Regional.**
*Gen 101*	Gen 101 is the How-to area for those interested in begining the quest for their ancestors. Also included is a First Questions page to get you started on interviewing family members for clues to your ancestor's past.
*Glossary*	*Our Glossary of Genealogical Terms and Definitions* which also includes a link to a Medical Term glossary.**
*Guestbook*	We would love to hear from you so if you would please let us know who you are and what you have to say by signing our Guestbook we would be grateful. If you're the first one from your part of the woods to say hello we will even plant a flag of your state, province or country on our main guestbook page.
