Tent 29 - Smith - Williams Party
This photo entitled "Tent 29 - Smith - Williams Party" is the third
in the Central
Illinois Conference photos we have. For a more thorough note on the conference

This photo is unique for the women pictured are wearing attire that is more
in
keeping with the 19th century then the 1910's. The photo is unfortunetly
starting to fade even with our attempts to preserve it in an acid free box.
Two things are still visible though even in this scan. Notice the "S"
which
is just below the lapel on the woman in the black dress that is standing in
the back. Also notice that the woman that is sitting on the left is holding
a
placard that states "Subscribe inc." We highly believe this is in
reference to
women's suffrage and the fight to bring voter's rights to women. If anyone
