Smith - Williams Party
This photo is the second of three taken at the Illinois Central Conference.
The photo is notated "Smith - Williams Party." Who the Smith's or
William's were is anyone's guess as these surnames do not appear in our
lineage.
Certain items in the picture may catch your eye and thay are as follows:
Three children on the left in white robes, a woman to the right of the
children holding a placard with US emblazoned upon it, and a man standing
to the right of center holding a U.S. flag. No one seems to be leading this
group (no one seems to be looking at a central figure, but than again many
people were nervous of being photographed around this time.) We also
can not make out any ancestors. The original of this photo is fading into
oblivion. With a “little” tweaking we have fortunatly brought this
scene
back to life.
