I never planned on becoming a photographer. It was all my family & friends fault! After much encouragement I finally decided to try selling "Photo Greeting Cards". I had just moved to Santa Ynez Valley and the first card rack I set up was at Side Street Café in the summer of 1991. To my surprise the cards did really well! That was the point of no return!
It was interesting journey from card racks to Farmers Market and then on to my current weekly showing at the Santa Barbara Beach art show every Sunday. Finally about 3 years ago I could say, "Im a Photographer" without feeling like an imposter. (Try being an untrained photographer surrounded by Brooks Institute students!) The only casualty along the way was my greeting cards. A few years ago I retired them due to the fact that they were so labor intensive. (Hand folded, three adhesives, hand labeled .)
I love nature! What a gift life has given me to be able to capture it on film to share with others. ENJOY!!!
