Even if you can't adopt an animal, there are many other types of help that we greatly appreciate
|
 |
Gemini Farm is a very small, private rescue that is currently financed entirely by the owners by working two full time jobs
along with doing the work on the farm to care for the animals. We try to care for as many animals as possible, as
best we can, but donations are greatly appreciated. Donations allow us to rescue more animals as well as upgrade our
facilities
Donations:
- Animal Sponsorship: Choose a particular animal from our site that you would like to support.
Your contribution would help defer medical and food costs. Sponsors will be listed next to the animal they
have chosen.
- Monetary Donations: You can make a general monetary donation to help with medical bills and
all those little expenses that are incurred during and after the rescue of an animal. General monetary donations can
be given to a chosen vendor directly...feed store, pet supply store or veterinarian. This would insure that your donation
will be used exactly as you desire.
- Food Donations:
We appreciate all food donations. With our
cat population alone currently close to 40, we are particularly looking for cat food, especially high quality brands like
Innova or EVO. Quality cat food is extremely expensive however we have found that the felines in our care, especially
the kittens, do much better when fed these brands. We provide feeding stations for our cats and keep them full at all
times. This does decrease the cat's desire to stalk and kill prey although it does not completely eliminate it. The
quality foods appear to reduce medical problems which ultimately cuts down on veterinary bills. Although we try to
feed our cats the above brands, when our budget permits, we will gladly accept all food donations.
- Supplies and Equipment::
The following items are always in short supply.
- Large & giant crates
- Kitty litter
- Rug samples
- Towels
- Food and water bowls
- Cat play equipment for inside and outside
