Garry Pifer was born and reared on a small farm in Illinois.  In the mid-1940's his father began studying the Bible and as he did he began to see things the local churches were not teaching.  In some instances they were teaching a direct contradiction of what he saw in his own Bible.  As he read and studied he was also looking into the teachings of many different individuals and groups, including numerous radio evangelists.  He was introduced to the literature and radio program of Herbert W. Armstrong, the leader and founder of the Radio Church of God (later renamed the Worldwide Church of God).  

To make a long story shorter, Garry Pifer grew up with the teachings of this organization, attended and graduated from the organization's college, Ambassador College, worked in the church offices for over nine years, and later served as an unpaid minister (referred to as a Local Church Elder).  Following the death of Herbert W. Armstrong the new leadership began to change numerous teachings and doctrines.  Garry left this organization and joined with others in forming another church holding to the "old" teachings.  But, through all of this Garry was beginning to study many of the teachings for himself, praying for understanding, and God began to reveal much Biblical truth and understanding to him.  Many lifelong beliefs were upheld, but many were found to be partially incomplete or with some error, while others were totally in error.

As a result of his study from the Bible of a "fundamental" doctrine of this new organization (and since his study clearly revealed the teaching to be in error) Garry chose to leave this organization.  He is no longer affiliated with any group or organization but fellowships with various believers as he is able.

While Garry continues his study of the Bible and recognizes that he still lacks much understanding, he feels the need and desire to share what has been revealed to him.  Hopefully, the studies on this web site will be of help to many that visit.
