Drawers
     For modesty, especially with hoops
     Mid calf length, split crotch
     Trim: minimal pin tucks and white work

Corset:
     Necessary for period look and fit of dress; nothing will fit right without it
     Not a ‘waist cincher’
          Supports bust and carries weight of rest of garments
     Is comfortable if properly fitted
     A custom fitted garment, not 'off the rack'

Petticoat:
     Recommend corded if worn alone with work dress
     Worn under hoops if hoops worn
     End just below mid-calf or at least 2”-3” shorter than work dress
 

Hoops (AKA Cage Crinolines) (optional):
      Typical size for work or more 'athletic' activities such as walking 75" - 90" in circumference
      Appropriate size for average woman during day wear, 110"- 120" in circumference
      Tall women could wear larger size, especially for evening wear
      All sizes should end approx. 6”-8” above the ground

Underskirts (AKA ‘over hoop petticoats’):
     At least 2”-3” shorter than skirt
     Prevents see-through in skirts & softens hoop lines
     Adds extra fullness if no hoop is worn
     Trim on top petticoat: pin tucks with white work at hem
