About Us

"What's Left" is a simple web log -- a "blog" -- where I post my perceptions of all things possible. You'll also find writings by some of the most prominent leaders in our state -- about topics and ideas that go beyond the simple stuff.

I don't have a particular ax to grind on any particular topic; however, I will have a thought or two on most things -- and this is the place where I post those thoughts.

Each of my articles is emailed to several thousand individuals around the state at the same time I post those articles here. My email list has been carefully built to include folks who are thinkers -- and it certainly includes folks who don't always agree with my position. But that's the beauty of our democracy -- we can disagree, we can share our own thoughts, we can continue to respect each other, and we can live our respective lives the way we want.

Unless, of course, the politicians get involved... I respect my friends on the Right and I respect my friends on the Left -- but, you know, down here in the middle, they're both just a barrel of laughs. The only problem is: They're also dangerous -- when they really think the rest of us ought to be out there with them.

And that's what this is all about -- there's more to the world than the Right and the Left. Each focuses so much on themselves, they forget the rest of us have rights, too.

Most of us know stuff that the rest of us don't know -- so, what on earth would make anyone believe they've got an answer for anyone else.

That defines my mission -- to occasionally remind folks that their simple little answers just don't have anything to do with most of our problems.

As you read my articles, you'll find a brief "bio" at the end of each. Each is written specifically for that article and may or may not shed some light on my perceptions of the issues being discussed. Each is different and goes beyond the simple "bio" stuff.
