Cody and His Kite

sfcody.jpg

Samuel Franklin Cody (1861-1913)
Klondike prospector, wild west show-man, aviation pioneer, first man to fly an airplane in England, and creator of the most distinctive boxkite ever made. Originally designed to be flown in trains, multiple kites attached to the same line, for the purpose of lifting military observers. Its gothic lines and stable flight make it a must have for all serious kiters.
Also called the Cody War Kite.
