My info
My name is Linda Arendsen Garvelink.  I was born in Zeeland, Michigan.  I attended Calvin College and the Univeristy of Minnesota; I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Adminstration (BBA) and a master's degree in Business Adminstation (MBA) from George Washington University in Washington, DC.  I have had a long career in the financial services industry.  I am married to William John Garvelink, who was born in Holland, Michigan; we met in high school (HCHS).  Bill is now the U.S. Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo.  After a long, independent career, I have accompanied him to this post; hence the title of my blog. I have started "LifePart2."

About this blog

Although encouraged by friends and colleagues, I resisted starting a blog.  There's something about posting somewhat personal thoughts and experiences so the world can see that makes me uncomfortable.  But, after 8 weeks at Post, I have come to the conclusion that this is the most efficient way to  communicate in general with family and friends.
