ABOUT MY MUSIC

I compose post-modernist music in a variety of styles, idioms, and harmonic languages. The degree of which, depends on the performer(s) commissioning the work and the venue/audience of the premiere. I have written works for all types and sizes of ensembles.

Literature and musical allusion are important elements of my compositional vocabulary. You will find the music of Gesulado, Lassus, Mahler, Poulenc, Crumb, Feneyhough, Rochberg, and Boulez, and the poetry of Montale, Bogen, Lorca, Rimbaud, and Neruda in my works.
