The way the scum-sucking, Intrusion-is-0ur-Business, telemarketing community is fighting the Do Not Call initiative reminds me of drug peddler's pitiful attempts to legalize drugs. If millions who signed up, Congress who represent the people, and the President all want telemarketing stopped, why do the damn lawyers regurgitate the same old blather about freedom of speech? What about my life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness? Doesn't matter, the corporate greed of industry and lawyers shall prevail. I wish everyone with a phone in America would for one month do what I do: "Hello? (Is this Mr. XXX?) Wait!...is this a solicitation? (stammer, lie, stumble) I do NOT take solicitations, you are in error, do NOT call me again. CLICK. Every time, everybody. Business crumbles, scumbags move to next scam. Problem solved. What is it about people that LIKE to get these calls???!@!!

It just seems so clear, America can do no right in the eyes of most of the world.

I'm environmentally-minded, though conservative in most other regards. But I don't believe in ecoterrorism because it goes too far. Pulling up survey stakes is one thing, but the terrorists manifesto seems to be becoming the popular method of activists in America. Take this ELF, they destroy property, burn down peoples dream homes, deface and burn SUVs at dealerships. Why is violence excusable for them? I see the same with other protest groups on both sides, and all levels of the violence scale. Anti-abortion on one, Michael Moore on the other. What used to be just smug, in-your-face belligerence has become vandilism and assault, and finally murder. What's next? Bombing the Humvee plant?

The ELF wrote, "Fat, Lazy Americans" not knowing who would have bought the vehicles. An aid group going to Central America? Too bad, they're fat too. An Anthropologist who needs to get to the boondocks to study ancient Americans? Too bad, they're fat too. What about the jobs involved to build those SUVs? What about other Americans rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?
The ELF needs someone to stamp "self-righteous terrorist who doesn't believe in your rights" on their butts with a no. 10 boot.

I saw a bumper sticker, "Dissent IS Patriotic." No, what we need is more love and compassion and self-sacrifice and individual responsibility. Not dissenters lurking in the shadows or hiding behind the ACLU.

I think it's time to retire this Blog, or at least acknowledge it is on sabbatical. When so many are doing such a better job at keeping up with the war, like instapundit.com, why should I try to keep up? Better I should totally change the intent of my blogging, as my friend jay at www.weberrific.org did recently, and make it cover some of my thoughts on all topics. This is perhaps the plan. What the heck is Disney up to? Financing Michael Moores next farcical anti-America and anti-bush blather movie?? What about campaign finance reform? Isn't a 2-hour "ad" against the president at the time of the 04 elections, sponsored by a large corporation what McCain was railing about? Or was it just against conservative lobbies like the NRA? BOYCOTT DISNEY.

I don't see what all the flap is about bush's taking the controls when he flew out to the aircraft carrier and his service with the ANG as a F-102 pilot. On the former, who wouldn't want to fly? Jimmy Buffet got to, why not a former pilot? On the latter, of course his life with the Air National Guard was a period of privilege and and lack of accountability for where he was. He was a FIGHTER PILOT! I work for the Air National Guard and see this every day. Today is a case in point. They turned off the water in our building about 9:30, for the second time in weeks. By 10:00 we were all told to go home, because of this terrible work safety issue. Those civilians who were even here, the ANG people were all off today anyway after drilling this weekend. I myself was in the Navy Reserves during college. When I saw how slack the drill weekends were I started to skip and eventually dropped out. It was legal and common in a volunteer service. When Bush did the same, or forgot to get his yearly physical and was taken off flying status, who cares? It's not on the same level as the privileges our prior president got during Vietnam or later in the oval office.

"...Several Britons have been convicted of involvement in Islamist terrorism..." hmmm, so if it's not the culture that drives them, or the country were they grow up, what could it be? It's the religion stupid! I guess it could be the Palistinean cause, which if I understand it correctly, is to drive Israel to the sea. Not simply to have their own country, that's their PC speak. Same as Osama's main goal, drive the infidels out of Arabia. If you don't believe what they believe you should be gone, or better yet, dead. So if the terrorism is based on their cause, and their cause is based on their religion, it's the religion. Someone better stop the militant, fundamentialist interpretation of islam or we're lost.

The Russians were training Iraqi "spies" leading up to the war, and selling weapons, the French were giving back door espionoge, and now Belgium: "Iraqi civilians are preparing a complaint to present in court in Belgium accusing allied commander Gen. Tommy Franks and other U.S. military officials of war crimes in Iraq, according to the attorney representing the plaintiffs." If we cannot get our country together on obvious answers to terrorism and security, why would anyone think we could get the world together? It's every country for its self, and they don't have the loyality the US has had to them.

So the Hollywood Left again thinks they are smarter than most Americans. Notice the elitist tone and catchy use of the word "hate." Even though he hates the president and the USA and uses his Celebrity Power, his views aren't "hate." Mike Farrel: "There was a well-orchestrated campaign to do that through hate radio and Web sites and voices that sprang from the (Bush) administration and said 'take your choice, you're with us or with the terrorists,"' he said.
"But the Dixie Chicks are back on the air and their record is number one again," he said. "Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon are not going to stop making movies for a long time. Janeane Garofalo has a (TV) pilot going forward. These ugly-mouthed people like to think they are more powerful than they are."
So the public, who polls show back what we did in Iraq, isn't as powerful as, say, Hollywood and the Media? I guess that could be true if we let it be. Do your part and boycott the hell out of people you don't believe in. Michael Moore, Sarandon, Penn, Sheen...

I'm following the report on foxnews.com that found the French were giving secret diplomatic information to Saddam durning the weeks prior to war. KEEP FRANCE OUT OF IRAQ, and the US out of the UN. With friends like these....

So now we find out more of why Russia didn't want us to go to war with Iraq. Because they are sharing intel about the US. I'm actually disillusioned. I thought Russia had changed and was more of an ally than the enemy of the cold war. I guess it’s hard to change. But it’s not good that they were fighting us at the UN saying they didn’t think Iraq had a Nuke program, when they really believed they did. Even worse, they were giving the Iraqis lists of people that could be assassins and providing visas to get them over here. Not good at all.

What's next, we'll find out the French just wanted to screw us at the UN because they want to control the EU and because they are trading partners with Iraq? Oh, we already know that. Next time a protester says "The US is out of step with the World" I'll say "damn right."

I'm quite pleased with the uncanny ability of the media/Left to gripe about something being wrong the day before the military fixes it or proves it untrue. Examples from the past two weeks:

Media: Baghad will be a stalingrad, urban warfare is going to be a human tragedy.

The next day: All major Iraqi resistance ceases.

Media: The Iraqis won't appreciate what America is doing. They aren't dancing in the streets.

The next day: Most of baghadad is pulling down Saddam statues, kissing Americans, dancing...

When I commented on this (below post) a few days ago, I didn't know my family would be subjected to the same sort of violence just days later. My comments then were tongue in cheek, just something to think about. Tonight my thoughts are much angrier. Sadly we tend pay more attention only when things get personal.

Last weekend we went to a Support the Troops Rally at Reid Park. It was really heartwarming to see that there were still thousands of Tucsonans who peacefully listened to sincere parents, spouses and congressmen applaud our brave troops. We didn't chain ourselves across Broadway, we didn't throw things at people, we weren't "in your face" because it wasn't about changing peoples views, it was about supporting those who are at risk overseas. Sarah got a bumper sticker that reads "I support Bush and the Troops." While I was there I saw no local news coverage.

Tonight Sarah had to go near the University to take my son to music lessons. As she sat at a stop sign she heard a loud crash at the rear of her vehicle and then heard cheering from the vehicles behind her. Fearing for her safety she did a U-turn and to leave the area. She saw that the two cars that had been behind her were filled with young college-age men yelling and grinning. One of them had thrown a rock, which hit her back window inches from her new bumper sticker.

We are told we cannot live in a vigilante society, and that everyone has a right to free speech. I believe in free speech, but why is it that patriotic, supportive, traditional speech is not included? Why do those that espouse "peace" and non-violence then commit it? I am of course disgusted at the boundless hypocrisy and cowardice of these traitors that call themselves young Americans. I do not believe attacking the defenseless is anymore an acceptable act of civil disobedience than I do when protestors endanger us all as they block roads and buildings, military bases.

These protestors have the same values as the Terrorists. They have false honor, they attack the weak and innocent, their acts are vehement and out of proportion. The only thing different is that these draft age men would not risk their precious lives by doing anything actually dangerous like attacking a group of cowboys or bikers or military men. They attacked a 98 pound woman alone. So I can just add the label sympathizer to the above, which of course they are and would be proud of the title.

I'd call it a "Hate Crime" but I know better than using their special (interest) term. Someone famous recently said, "I'm ashamed Bush comes from Texas". Well there's a lot more to be ashamed of in this country right now.

I relate this story because perhaps hearing it from someone you know will give you the wherewithal to be careful out there, the courage to act to protect your fellow Americans when you see this kind of behavior.
~ Thursday, March 27, 2003

"...All we are Saying...Is Give Peace a Chance...." the protesters chanted, then "[expletive] murderer, [expletive] baby killer,"Stirewalt said. "It culminated with some of the individuals throwing rocks at her, and as testament to her disciplined professionalism, she got in her car and left the area." As they attacked a female National Guard member. I tell you, 90% of these protesters are worthless, naieve idiots who would use violence just as soon as talking to you. Guess what? That's human nature. And the'll be crying and thanking the Natn'l Guard next flood. These people suck.

More media anti-war bias I've heard on the radio:

We’ll keep you updated as the war wears on. (7 days into the war)

Military leaders Insist the war is going according to plan. (Forgetting Tommy Franks explained the previous week “war plans change as soon as it starts)

This isn’t the Shock and Awe we were promised (After precision attacks on Saddam weren’t dramatic enough)

Why are you just showing us videos of successful Precision strikes? Do you mean to tell us you don’t have any videos showing bombs that go astray? (At military briefing on how the mil targeting process strives to avoid collateral damage)

Thousands more to come….

Arrrrg! I'm so sick of the leftist bias of NPR. Yet I listen to them for the "in-depth coverage" and have for years. Over the years I’ve noticed they always have a left-leaning view and typically drive (read make) the news. Example today.

After yesterday hearing stories from more objective sources about how civilian children are being forced to arm themselves and shoot at the American soldiers, today NPR has a story and interview with Voices in the Wilderness from Baghdad. Their stated goal is to daily visit hospitals, bombing sites, etc. and document and report what they see. Their leader that was interviewed told of the injured and killed children being brought to the hospitals, and then talked about how they try to bring normalcy into the tragedy of war by having birthday parties “while the bombs go off everywhere.”

Questions: Why were they not in Iraq the past 12 years? Why were they not in Iraq when the children were gassed in 1988? Why are they not visiting the Children Human Shields that Iraq is placing? Why don’t they go see the teenage American soldiers that are getting killed and shot at daily? Because even though they care about children, their hatred of America is greater. Traitors.

Five days into war. Please, Gen. Franks, shut down Iraqi television. While you're at it shut down Al Jazeera. I'm tired of seeing Tariq Aziz, and have been since the first gulf war. If we let the propaganda continue, we aren't going to have many more surrenders until they start to die. And we can't kill them if they dress like civilians and hide in cities. Siege perhaps? We couldn't last world opinion longer they Baghdad could last without food....

(next day TV stations bombed) Thank you!

I thought the Bush speach giving the Husseins 48 hours was convincing. America tries to build consensus, but in the end, it is our duty alone, to protect ourselves and the world. We've done it before, and the Brits are always by our side. Thank God, and support your troops who support their leader's decisions.

Funny how Odai Hussein says Bush is unstable and should step down right after he's told to. Do I hear a parrot? Do they have anything to offer their country or the world? Crops? Inventions? Diplomacy? A better society? No, NOTHING. Too bad a lot of the world would rather take the word of a killer and rapist, rather than Bush.

I don't know for sure how I feel about the Israeli method of fighting terror, but they sure carry through with anything they do. Including demolishing houses no matter who is protesting. Americans may learn that all the glorious rights they have in America don't mean squat overseas. When will Americans, and the world, quit biting the hand that feeds them?

So much is going on. So many strange misconceptions by the left and the anti-war folks. They are so naïve, I don’t believe that by showing we are weak, giving Saddam a break, perhaps lifting the sanctions, the middle east will suddenly love us. They hate us. Stated, avowed, and part of their religion. Face it.

And giving the ones we catch access to our lawyers is exactly what they want, read Bin Laden's instructions on "insist on a lawyer, say you were tortured..." When you are at war, you don't use the civilian courts. Especially the same ones that forbid the pledge of allegiance in US classrooms, but insist on allowing the "religious freedoms" of the detainees in Cuba. So we let them wear their turbans or whatever. What the heck is going on with America?! Did we allow Nazi prisoners of war give their daily pledge to hitler? Did we give them lawyers? Maybe we did, at Neuremberg, I can't remember. But we evenutally executed them. Well we better give any we catch the McVeigh treatment. Wait, so far we have only give prison terms to terrorists that are muslim.

Has anyone ever done a study on how many people in the world have been killed by islamic fundamentalists? It just seems to be happening in every country every week, today here. Thousands of innocent people killed by them in 2001, less in 2002, what about 2003? How can intentionally killing innocent children in peace be viewed as the moral equivelant of intentionally avoiding harming innocents in a time of war? "...One operator put his fist through a computer screen after being forced to hold his fire against a top al Qaeda operative..." Read this again.
~ Tuesday, December 24, 2002

Sobering article, but consider the source. But wait, the sources appear to be our government leaders. What can we really do to fight a few dozen or hundred fanatics? When we helped Islam, they hated us and wanted to ruin us. If we kill their leaders like Israel does, they will feel the same. I do believe the best defense is a strong offense. Our offense is hindered by Political Correctness (lawyers), World View (lawyers), Military having to CYA (lawyers)... We need release authority for every aspect, element, weapon of our military. Or we can wait and flounder until we get a nuke set off in one of our great cities. Pray for peace, but give war a chance.

But the UN is just so effective. At forgetting what lies have already been told. Maybe Saddam isn't lying about having WMD weapons programs. But the UN knows he still has the damn weapons. During inspections by the U.N. Special Commission, or UNSCOM, in the 1990s, Iraq denied producing any chemical weapon other than mustard gas. Faced with contrary evidence, it eventually acknowledged the manufacture of 3.9 tons of VX and 3,859 tons in all of lethal chemicals. The Baghdad government also admitted filling more than 10,000 bombs, rockets and missile warheads with Sarin. It denied having done so with its most potent agent, VX, but an international commission of experts assembled by UNSCOM said the scientific evidence suggested otherwise.
UNSCOM said in its final report, in January 1999, that it could not account for 1.5 tons of the VX known to have been produced in Iraq, and that it could not establish whether additional quantities had been made.

It was reported today Iraq has given nerve gas to Al Queda.

I heard on NPR today two commentators interviewed and asked what their countries views on a US war on Iraq. Both were academics, one from a Univ in Berlin, one from Egypt. Both said their countries were very interested in having the UN make all decisions about a war, but if the UN said it was necessary, then they would back the US going to Iraq, but "probably wouldn’t offer any actual military support". This is so typical of how one-sided "global" support is. They want the right to vote down anything being done, but if something must be done (financial or military) it's left up the America, alone. Of course, these were the same countries that offered little or no support when we stopped Muslims from being killed in Kosovo and Kuwait. Does America have interests in Iraqi leadership that will allow trade in oil instead of weapons of mass distruction? Of course. Why don't the neighbors of Iraq? Perhaps because thousands of them haven't been killed yet. Perhaps because their Islamic constituents want Iraq to vicariously kill more Americans through terrorists.

Oh no, this isn't a religious war, at least not for us. But it is for them. "The statement also said a purported Al Qaeda claim of responsibility for the Nov. 28 attacks on Israel targets in Kenya was genuine. That claim was posted on several other Islamic sites last week." When will America see that and quit being an Islamic appologist?

This country has been blessed more than any other the past 300 years. Even though some miserable groups and countries in the world want us to join them in their misery, they shall not prevail. Not if we continue to pull together, take responsibility for our actions, and temper our wishes with what is good for the whole country. I don't mean selfish special interests, I mean the basics of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This country was founded believing these were God-given rights, and our founders gave thanks to God for that. Let's not let that be forgotten or taken away from us by people against our belief in God, foreign or domestic. Happy Thanksgiving.

But it's a peaceable religion, the apologist elite in the US and Europe say. In Thursday's rioting (protesting a beauty pagent), more than 50 people were stabbed, bludgeoned or burned to death and 200 were seriously injured...shouting "Allahu Akhbar," or "God is great," ignited makeshift street barricades made of tires and garbage, sending plumes of black smoke rising above the city. Others were heard chanting, "Down with beauty" Yeah, well, they aren't living there. Told what to think, what to do, who to kill by their spiritual leaders. Wacked.

My enemy's friend is my enemy. I saw a good bumper sticker yesterday that seemed to be very appropriate to my mood and to all the anti-war apologists; "Give War a Chance".

Why all the doom and gloom from such "experts"? What value is this other than to make people worry that we cannot succeed in a war in the middle east? Believe me, we can, easily. If Saddam uses chem weapons, we use nukes, and the problem is solved, forever. When we continue to appear weak these madmen will keep attacking. Powell made us look, and act, weak in the first gulf war. We stopped short. Powell made Bush paint himself into a corner this time by allowing the UN to run the show. We need to stop acting weak and do what we need to do to protect this country from military and terrorist threats. The rest of the world will get over it. We can rebuild rapport easier than rebuilding our lives after mass destructors attack...

I've been reading an excellent hawkish book called An Autumn of War, What America Learned from September 11 and the War on Terrorism. We should all read this book and see how the world has never really changed, and how the West has always won in a fight. But compare it's discussion to this UPI report on the elections that the Republicans just dominated (thank God). Oh, boo hoo, America won't do what the UN says now. The US won't back international courts. The US won't sign the Kyoto agreeement. Well guess what? Globalization is not in AMERICA's INTERESTS. Our country is what matters, what the rest of the world thinks of us is apparant by the Sept 11 attacks and the lack of support for our counterattacks. It's easier for a terrorist to get a check cashed in France than for US to get permission to overfly France with our warplanes. That tells you about Global Government and the UN. It's BS.

Oh, this is just great. The sniper (below) may not be an "official" terrorist, but was Islamic which somehow meant to him it's ok to kill innocents. Muhammad converted to Islam and changed his name last year from John Allen Williams, investigators told the Times. Muhammad had helped provide security for Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan's "Million Man March" in Washington, D.C.

Bastards! If the current sniper attacks in the DC area turn out to be terrorists, then this article is worth remembering, and the al quaida tape it reviews. It's a good thing a lot of Americans are still armed, and we still have a right to keep and bear them. I tell you what, someone comes to my door in troubled times, they better move slow.

Again, it's been too long. But it's good to remember why we were attacked. We were attacked because wackos believe they will go to heaven and expand the muslim world if we go down.

It's been awhile since I've blogged. But now that the infamous anniversary is approaching, I'm going to try to log more. One item of interest is the NEA (teachers union) and their lesson plans for teachers to use about Sept 11. A lot of talk of "tolerance" there. I saw some analogies made to the Japanese internments. That was excessive and we now know it. But I hate knee-jerk analogies to "nazism” or America’s past troubles whenever leftists want to protect our enemies. After Pearl Harbor should we have done as the “NEA suggests kids think about tolerance and diversity and not blame all Arabs for the actions of a few?” It was just 200 pilots that killed 3000 Americans in Hawaii. Were all Japanese overseas for the war and the attack? It was just 19 terrorists that killed 5000 in New York. Are most Arabs rejoicing in our pain? I'll let time answer that.

Again, will the rights of even illegal foreigners take priority over the security of our country and lives? The priest says "the policy of the Border Patrol is meant to cause deaths of illeagal immigrants..." but here is a BP group that is meant to save their stupid butts.

And yet another parent happy his son killed 20 women and children. Here's an idea: Why doesn't the "law" of these lands indict those that aid and abet suicide bombers? Isn't it like being an accessory to a crime? The parents are already encouraging their kids to do these terrible things, don't you think they know when the specific act will occur? If the country doesn't want to prosecute, maybe we should. Or send in special forces to take the supporters out?

More of what I said yesterday here. "I asked her if it mattered whether her son killed women and children. 'The women and children are also Jews,' she said, 'They're all the same for me. And I want to tell Jewish mothers - take your children and run from here because you will never be safe. We believe our sons go to heaven when they are martyred. When your sons die they go to hell.'" The entire region believes Israel should be exterminated. Not just removed from Palistine. After that, they believe the same should happen to the US. If the mindset cannot be changed, we should prepare for total war and quit worrying about PC "tolerance". They ain't tolerant of us.

The adults and government and schools in the middle east teach their children these lies, and this is what we get. The children collect martyrs cards like ours collect pokemon. "The most recent hot item is a pendant of Jihad Attiti, the 18-year-old who became the camp's first suicide bomber two weeks ago by blowing himself up and killing two Israelis — an 18-month-old baby and her grandmother — in a Tel Aviv suburb...Added Saleh, a nephew of bomber Attiti: "We love them and we want to be like them."

Interesting commentary the atrocious event. "The murder of Daniel Pearl was a symbolic act. It was conceived as the expression of any or all of the following beliefs: that America is evil and therefore all Americans are evil; that the individual is never anything other than the representative of his group..."

From the "Center for Islamic Research" (read: Al Qaida) "America knows only the language of force. This is the only way to stop it and make it take its hands off the Muslims and their affairs. America does not know the language of dialogue!! Or the language of peaceful coexistence!! America is kept at bay by blood alone…"
and "America is the head of heresy in our modern world, and it leads an infidel democratic regime that is based upon separation of religion and state and on ruling the people by the people..." If every bad thing that happens to a muslim is Americas fault, and they rationalize that their religion calls for an eye for an eye, we cannot have peace until every one of them is gone. Dead gone. And that's exactly what they want of us. Sounds like Armageddon.

~ Friday, May 24, 2002

All right! That's how to take care of suicide bombers! "Eli Federman, 36, told reporters he saw a car turn sharply and race toward the club. He said he opened fire and hit the man, who started falling out of the car, setting off a blast. "Then I fired the rest of the bullets into his head," killing him, he said." In American it should be even easier, where citizens have the right to be armed.

What a damn idiot. People who sue over acts of war or terrorisim are money-grubbing idiots. Don't let them say "...it's not about the money". Bull, half the people in this country would use any excuse to sue. I suspect the same people that say the Government, the police, the xxx should have "done something" are the same people that do nothing in their daily lives to help others.
~ Friday, May 17, 2002

I can't believe the "accountability worriers" (read: conspiracy theorists) on "the government should have done something before Sept 11". Not that we knew the exact nature of the threat (we get hundreds), but what should Bush have done? Stop all flights? Put surface-to-air missles around every national icon? Start a war in Afghanisan premptively? Deport all muslim students? Just those at flight schools? What? Even now it's hard to convince the public on a course of action, then it would have been impossible.
Now after Sept 11 Bush and Ridge are promulgating all possible threats, and people still complain about that. We live in a Complainocracy.

"The U.S. may be winning the war in Afghanistan, but it is losing the propaganda war in parts of the Arab world.
As al-Ahmed sees it, "the United States is out of the game in the PR war in Saudi Arabia. They are disconnected from young Saudis. Young Saudis have nowhere to turn if they want to hear the United States' message."
Says a frightening report, on a web propaganda video of the Pearl murder that is being used to recruit more terrorists.

Ah, been a while since I've written. Not to say I haven't thought about the issues. One of particular interest is that they are seriously considering (debating?) letting airline pilots be armed. What's taking so long?! 20,000 pilots signed a petition, let em. Let the cabin crew too if they choose. What other option do they have to defend themselves? Call up an F-16 to shoot the whole plane down?

Good discussion by a sometimes insightful source. "Terrorists win because of our morality against aggression"

Heard a report on the radio, NPR I think, about the previous post. "Zubayda is not being very cooperative...Taliban and Al Quieda in Gtmo must have been well trained on how to fight interrogation..." Yeah, that's really difficult to figure out, you just don't talk. They really "trained" me in the Navy too: Name, rank, service number. The only way these hate-filled terrorists will spill their guts is with a bomb trying to kill innocents.

Man, I'm thrilled we caught Abu Zubaydah; a very serious blow to Al Qaeda and bin Laden, if he's still alive. Everyone says he will be a treasure-trove of info. But will he talk? Why should he? I hope we have ways of making him talk... At least he's out of the picture now, I hope forever.

It inflames the senses! It shows how hypersensitive the fringe special interst groups want Americans to be. I am strangely compelled to read tongue-tied each time it is compiled.

Can you say commnunism? I say let each man and country determine their own destinies. No excuses, no world government! "U.N. International Conference on Financing for Development, who have been discussing ways to narrow the gap between the haves and the have-nots, warned that the world's security depends on bringing relief to the desperately poor"

Missile defence is a good thing, but I think a more realistic delivery method our ememies will try to use is smuggling. The terrorists won't mess with ICBMs, they'll sneak a nuke into our country easily by exploiting our freedoms. Look at the two visas that were just granted to the expired terrorists from Sept 11. Our country needs better intel.

Very concise. I agree. FOXNews.com "Unconditional surrender" served us well in the global war against Nazism and fascism. "Containment" served nicely in the global war against communism. Henceforth "pre-emption" will serve us perfectly in the global war against terrorism.

"It's going to be worse, and a lot of people are going to die," said one counterterrorism U.S. official. Yep, until we get serious about profiling threats, using all our means of intel to find them, kicking questionable persons out of the country, killing our enemies wherever they are...

Doesn't surprise me that Islamic schools in the United States teach hatred. And it won't surprise me that we won't do anything about it either. Not in America where it's become PC to exclude George Washington from studies, where the ACLU complains if a school writes "God Bless America" on the marquee. But if an Islamic school askes for their god to "BLAST" America, that's OK. And what about the pledge of allegience and citizen requirments? Why DON'T you have to love America to LIVE here??? Freedom of Speach does not mean: Treason, Incitement, Blasphemy....

Unconditional War. That's the only thing that will stop this I'm starting to believe. We've seen what these types really want: to kill and destroy everything that is not of their "religion" They have done it large-scale on Sep 11, and small-scale with Pearl. But "giving in to their demands" will only result in allowing them to kill and destroy the rest of the world faster. If they believe the hardship or even tragedy for the Palestinians somehow justifies all this terror, and they are willing to kill themselves to enact it, the only way to stop it is defeat them via maximum force. Be with us or be gone. There is no way to convince them peace is the answer, the only solution is to utterly defeat them. ALL of them.

Terrorist Al-Hada attempted to throw a grenade at police and it exploded in his hand. Isn't it handy how many of these freaks keep killing themselves? The Afghan hospital excape, etc.

"I tell you, freedom and human rights in America are doomed," Bin Laden's sole post-September 11 TV interview aired - February 1, 2002
So freak, tell us how you really feel. "...if killing those who kill our sons is terrorism, then let history be witness that we are terrorists." Does he hate our freedom, or did the 3000 innocent men, women and children who he ordered killed somehow kill his "sons"? Another interesting thing about this is the relationship the Al-Jazeera news network has with Bin Laden. Sounds like they aid and abet and support him to me.

Notice how many Saudi's are involved in all this? Compare this story of the ones that weren't controlled properly in the hospital. They fought like the killers they are. The ones in Git-mo are being controlled, but they are the same killers from the same place.

Oh give me a damn break. That's the first thing out of my mouth when I read this, "John loves America. We love America," Lindh (Walker's father) said after the hearing. He said his son was innocent of the charges.

The UN sometimes serves a purpose, but it should not to be to add a layer of government control over the US. Another reason why here. A global government is not possible by men. Is the UN a better government for the US? Are the governments of the UN member countries better than American democracy? I don't think so.

I saw a very good movie yesterday, Blackhawk Down. I knew before seeing it or reading the book it would be analogous to any fight we have with groups who have nothing to live for. The Somalis were starving to death, we tried to give them food, they killed each other over control of the food, then easily transferred their killing to the UN and Americans that were there to help. Lesson: Nation-building is a joke, at least it has been since the Marshall Plan, and with people who have no honor. We shouldn't even try. Lesson 2: People with nothing to lose understand only one thing, violence. These Somalis cheered at a bootleg showing of the film, saying "Let them try again. They'll be making more films about us when we defeat them like we did that day." They don't seem to mind when their own countrymen gunned them down and stole their food because they begrudgingly acknowledge power they can not win against. If we go in there to get "bad guys" again, we need to make it clear: you are for us, or against us. And if the former, you better clear out of the way, because the US needs to use real force this time. 100 rangers without armor or heavy ordinance or air support cannot fight thousands in an urban setting.

Fairly good article on keeping up the energy in our pursuit of terroists. Wonder why Saddam is suddenly making speeches like below?

I can't say I don't believe it. 11 families of persons killed on the hijacked airplanes are suing. A news release from Schiavo's law firm said the families chose to file a lawsuit instead of going to the fund to "expose years of ineffective security practices, know the truth, improve security and accord accountability." They forgot to mention money. Blame and money. And it won't bring anyone back.
Saying this was negligence is as riduculous as saying we are at "war" with terror. That's like saying we are at war with hate. Guess what? You can't eliminate either. And no level of security will prevent occasional evil nuts that want to go out in a blaze of glory. But hey, money will make them feel better, right?

More thoughts on how being PC could end our way of life.

One of the hijackers was caught going 90 MPH in a 65 a few days before the attack. It was a "...routine traffic stop" and they weren't detained. 25 miles an hour over the speed limit?! In my home state 15 over and you lost your license on the spot. Too bad, what an opportunity to do a little background checking. Did the license identify that the driver was on a visitor visa? Was this one of the illegally obtained ones? I'm not saying citizens need a national ID, but foreigners sure need to be watched closer. A good friend of mine just got rear ended by a carload of illegal aliens, which pushed him into an oncoming car of illegal aliens....

Just another case of how the PC police are only interested in minority and special interest groups. Compare this article on a window display of bin laden awaiting a western hanging, with this article on anti-religious "art". Who's complaining about the bin Laden imagery? A Californian "Neighborhood Council". Not arabs. Who's standing up for the store owner's free speech? Nobody. The second one is defiantly an affront to another religious group, and is partly paid for by taxpayers. Who's complaining? Only those who are obviously the brunt. Hmm let's carry this further like the ACLU does: taxes=state=seperate from religion. But it's ok this time, because the religion is Christianity and it's being humiliated. If it was a display on church people doing good or praying the ACLU would get involved, as would California "Neighborhood Councils".
I say if we must be "tolerent", even of people who vow jihad, then they must be tolerant of our majority beliefs and heritage.

"Scapegoat"? That's what the mother of Zacarias Moussaoui says. Give me a break. Why do they always interview the mother? Of course, even Adolf Hitler's mother would have said "he's a good boy". Here we hear from the Shoe Bomber's father...

A surprising source for this article on the need to conduct this war secretly, i.e. keep secrets from the media/public. "This enemy is willing to use all of our freedoms including the media to kill Americans..."

An interesting article on how the left's move towards "tolerence" in Christmas, for example, should be renamed "elimination".

To those who say we should not profile persons in order to determine their threat, I say bah. We should do whatever it takes to find these freaks. In paris the "shoe bomber" was detained by a security agent who recommended he be checked out further. He wasn't, and if not for the courageous flight attendant and passengers he would have killed more good people.
If the miliary and our government (and some Americans) weren't so worried about being politially correct about profiling, we would be better defended. Persons who meet certain criteria are more likely to be threats. Again, since the news reports on the easy to fix criteria, like "he wasn't carrying any baggage", we must focus on the indelible ones: Country of origin, age, gender, time in the US, religious faction (the one that has declared jihad on US), xxx? CIA, get more humint resources out there.

See what I mean? More of the media reporting idiotic and hate-biased middle eastern statements such as, "I heard the tape but it didn't explain anything to me. I don't see it as evidence,'' said Salah Abdel Moneim, a merchant. He added that America had released the tape to "hurt the image of Islam.'' Yeah, I'm getting a more foul image every day, but it's not because of anything America is doing.

These fools will not believe bin ladin is evil if they had any evidence. The reason? They like what he did, and they hate America as much as he does. Put them on the enemy list....

I am shocked and disgusted at how much evil bin Laden and his lackeys exude in the video that was released today. I just can't find the words to understand how they can hate us so much and believe their "god", Allah, is happy with all the ruthless killing and torture. Reminds me of how Gobbels and Hitler must have sounded as they rationalized the extermination of millions. These animals need to be removed from the planet so they can see how happy their maker is.
~ Wednesday, December 12, 2001

I have to agree hate propaganda does more to breed evil than poverty does. Just as Gobbels justified nazism and the final solution, leaders of some countries continue to teach about the glory of a holy war. Arrafat has officially sanctioned such propaganda for years, just as the leadership in Pakistan has. These are the most obvious examples of fence straddling I see. It's time for him to go.

Good. I was wondering when we were going to start the process to send Zacarias Moussaoui on his way to hell. Oop, I mean give him a fair trial. I remember him as the one who was cheering from jail when the Sep. 11 attacks started. I'm going to be cheering when he's gone.

I've stayed very ingaged in the fight, just too busy to comment on it. I keep having these hopes that we will actually catch bin Laden or find his charred body. And I believe some of the countries that harbor terrorism and hate America so are realizing it is better to have our help than to have our warfare. How did we let countries who can barely figure out how to repair a car get to the point of being able to threaten this great country? And I'm sure not saying we need to be nation builders.

Ok, I've got to say something about this John Walker, the American who joined the Taliban fighters and was captured in Afghanistan. I've read he was happy about the USS Cole bombing, and about the September 11th attacks. He was caught with other fighters, he admits joining them. Let's stop having his parents, lawyers and anyone else they can think of speak for him. (Maybe the ACLU can try to say he was just expressing himself) He's not "just a boy", and his actions say he is against us. Guilty.

This may not be too related to my normal posts about our war on terror. Or is it? Maybe America needs to go back to being a democratically-based republic instead of the commentocracy-based complainorship we are now under. The ACLU, PETA, and several other fanatical groups are the problem, not the solution. We shouldn't get rid of the ACLU, we should change the legal system where they cannot push their Anti-American drivel.

I find the prisoner uprising in Afghanistan a telling example of how little we can trust these Taliban, and how much they are like the terrorists. They say they are surrendering but smuggle weapons into the prisoner compond and then start an uprising that kills hundreds of Norther Alliance and injures some American servicemen.

Fascinating insight into how we got Mohammed Atef, bin Laden's second-in-command. It's great we can use our technology to kill these vermin, and not endanger more Americans. As always, intelligence is the key, and air superiority is one keyhole.

Choice Omar quotes: ...told the BBC Thursday that the Taliban pullback from urban centers was part of a larger strategy that aims to destroy America.
"If God's help is with us, this will happen within a short period of time — keep in mind this prediction," he said.
"The real matter is the extinction of America, and God willing, it will fall to the ground."
Omar also ruled out taking part in a multiethnic government that the United Nations has proposed for Afghanistan, saying he'd rather die than join an "evil government."

Guess what Omar? You already are part of an evil government, and the "god" you keep referring to is red and has horns and a forked tail.
God does not advocate killing little children, innocents and trying to destroy civilization. Anyone should suspect a government whose religion demands death from those who choose not to follow it as an evil fallacy.

I hope it's appropriate come thanksgiving to be thankful for the end of an evil man. Bin Ladin's top advisor and probable successor was killed this week! Next we need to be rid of bin Ladin and Omar and start their burning process.

Good for Bush, who signed a military order Tuesday giving him the option of trying non-U.S. citizens suspected of terrorism before a special military commission as opposed to civilian courts. Evil enemies, who declare war on us should have the strictest judgement, not be tried by "a jury of their peers". Why bother good Americans? Let justice be by the military, cleared to see our intelligence evidence, not average joes.
But, our guardians, the ACLU, doesn't agree: "Laura W. Murphy, the director of the ACLU, called the order 'disturbing' and said the president must 'justify why the current system does not allow for the timely prosecution of those accused of terrorist activities."
Timely?! That's not why Bush is doing this, and there is no reason to worry about timeliness. We need to ensure justice is done, and the military will do it. The ACLU should go worry about civilian cases, like the great job they and the jurists did on the OJ Simpson trial. She continues:
."Absent such a compelling justification, today's order is deeply disturbing and further evidence that the administration is totally unwilling to abide by the checks and balances that are so central to our democracy,' Murphy said. 'Increasingly they appear willing to circumvent the requirements of the Bill of Rights."
It seems Ms. Murphy wants to extend our American rights to the entire planet, including foreign terrorists. Pres. Bush's ruling is for taking care of foreign terrorists, like we did the Nazis in Nuremberg. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the ACLU is doing nothing for the country. For us or against us. Write the ACLU and tell them how you feel.

There has been some good news from Afghanistan. The people are happy to be out from under the swords and canes of the Taliban, and are getting a modicum of freedom. The Taliban leader is still begging his "troops" to regroup and resist us. Forget it.

Yes, we are sick of the media. And why? Why is the media losing their attempt to win the hearts and minds of America? The answer is because the media is out of touch. And it takes a historic event nowadays for the population to acknowledge they don't have to have thier views shaped by the biased media.

Yet the same article below notes: " 'I am proud to have such a close association with the United States,' said Joe Warmington, 36, a Canadian ...
In Japan, which has clung to pacifism since the U.S. atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II, polls show that most people either support the bombing of Afghanistan or see it as unavoidable. Support for military action has actually increased, from a range of 42 to 52 percent just before the airstrikes began to a range of 57 to 83 percent in the past two weeks."

Again I say, each person, group, nation is either FOR us or AGAINST us.

Supposedly there is decreasing worldwide support for our "bombing Afghanistan", this according to the Washington Post. The author doesn't let us know who did the polls, what was asked (do you think America should be killing civilians in Afghanistan? etc.) either in the first round or now. What I do see is who they are asking: Chinese, Russians, South Africans, Mexicans, a few leftist South Americans...
That's why America is a republic and not a true democracy. If you let every idiot on the street make policy decisions of strategic importance we'd end up being sunk. What is the greater evil, a few innocents killed trying to rout terror, or 6,000 American's dying anytime the terrorists succeed?

This is the FAA's list of items prohibited on airliners. It's almost comical when you consider that anything can be used as a weapon. And yet, with armed air marshalls and possibly the pilots/flight crew what is a terrorist going to do with a hockey stick?
