RETIRE TO PATTAYA, THAILAND NEWSLETTER

How much do YOU need to retire?

Issue 101

Dear fellow Pattaya lover,

The MOST common question is 'how much'...? What's
it going to take for me to leave my lonely, cold, country and
move to Pattaya?

I wish I could say $XXX USD but I can't!

Like you'll hear many times in Thailand, 'it's up to you'!

Here's what I mean; If you FEEL you MUST live in a 'house', have
a car, and hit the bars nightly you'll DEFINITELY need a large
bankroll!

How much? How about $1,000,000USD++! Yeah, that's about
right--I'm assuming a 4.5% inflation-adjusted annual withdrawal
with no other income from pensions, government checks, etc.

BUT, I actually believe the number of 'millionaire' retirees in
Pattaya is probably less than a dozen!

So here's a 'plan' for the rest of us!

Think about WHAT really makes you happy--Do you REALLY need a
house and car in Pattaya to live? Thousands of guys will tell
you NO!

I posted a 'sample' budget on my site which reflects living on $50USD
a day--$1500 a month--NOT a luxurious lifestyle but I know guys
HAPPILY living on less.

Bottom line-I can't tell you how much you'll need--BUT
for MOST of us a minimum of $1200-1500 per month is necessary.

In the next newsletter, I'll talk about how to REALISTICALLY plan
on investing your nest egg--and the REAL returns you can expect from those investments.

It's less than you probably think!

Also, what impact a 'pension' can have on your retirement.

As you'll discover, not all pensions are created equally!

Lastly, the 'Health' section has been updated with some ideas on health insurance. Do you need it? Read and decide for yourself.

Until next time,

Your fellow Pattaya lover

PS: Please do me a favor--If you know someone else thinking of visiting or retiring to Thailand, refer them to my site.

And forward this newsletter freely.
