Where is it?
Pattaya is a city of approximately 95,000 year-round residents on the southeast coast
of Thailand. Easily reachable from Bangkok (Thailand's capitol), only 147 kms away, by taxi or bus it's merely two hours.
While a sleepy, fishing village until the early 1960's the city prospered during the Vietnam War as
many American soldiers took leave here.
When the war ended, Pattaya transformed itself into an international destination and resort as it
now hosts thousands of visitors from across the globe. New luxury condos, hotels, so on illustrate the increasing evidence
of the popularity and economic success the city enjoys.
