Lucy had Laser Surgery and now she doesn't wear glasses or contacts!

Lucy, our office receptionist, used to wear either contact lenses or glasses until she had the LASIK procedure last April. Now, she sees clearly without correction!

Dr. Christopher Blanton, who is a corneal specialist at Inland Eye Institute's Refractive Laser Center performed the procedure. Lucy was seeing well immediately after the surgery. "I can't believe I was able to work in the office the very next day. Well, actually Dr. Murphy scheduled me to work, I guess she knew it would turn out this well." Lucy's vision before surgery was 20/400 and within a week afterwards it was 20/20. She says that the reason she had it done was because she did not like the weight of glasses on her face, and was tired of cleaning her contact lenses. She loves being able to see clearly with her own eyes now.

The laser procedure is now a viable option to wearing lenses. It is used for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. We have had several dozen patients who have had LASIK. Dr. Murphy sees her patients for pre and post-op visits in the office so that they don't have to travel far and are comfortable with their own doctor. If you are interested give our office a call. You can ask Lucy what it was like!
