Pixie the Boat - Mast is Up
Finally!
This has not been "photoshopped" in any way as some of my better
friends might suspect. All the standing rigging parts are new,
and there was only one minor and easily repaired casualty of the whole
mast raising event. The halyards move up and down smoothly and
all of the parts connect. Simply amazing. I figured we
would
stand it up, realize something was quite wrong, bring it back down and
cycle into a fix. I'll apply full quality control checks after I
get the boom on and let things settle / stretch / get used to being
more like a sailboat. Also missing a few minor pieces down low
where I can reach them easily. I'll collect and stick these on at
my leisure.
Notice the blue tinting surrounding the freshly erected
mast. This is as it should be, yes? A few pics for your
