You can just see the vents on the inside

Added gray carpet to pad the inside against rattling

The trunk lid was also made of the same 3/8 inch plywood with some interior braces to keep it from warping.  Used a regular cabinet lock and a continuous stainless steel hinge with stainless screws.  Strip insulation was added around the perimeter of the lid.  It mashes against the lip that stands up on the box.  Very weather tight.  Inside you can see a few items just to give an idea of the volume inside available for cargo.  I carried four 2 gallon gas cans to the station to fill up.   Have carried a grocery buggy full of grub to the house.

Seat back from sissy bar installed, very comfortable

Additional bags are easily attached

The rope cleats are used to not only strap a bag on top of the trunk but also to suspend a bag on each side.  A bungee cord attaches to the bag and underneath the trunk to keep the side bags from swinging out on a turn.  All total about seven cubic feet of cargo carrying capacity with the additional bags.

I took the seat back from my Jack's sissy bar and attached it to the front of the trunk.  Makes for a very comfortable ride.  Is one of my favorite mods to this contraption.

It was not an easy project.  It did help that I had built an earlier version that was much smaller but identical in shape and method of construction and painting.  Took a little over a month working a little each day.  Painting and sanding took the longest.  Tools I used were a table saw, band saw, bench sander, orbital sander, air stapler and air nailer, 60 thru 400 grit sandpaper, power screw driver and a few other common small handtools.  Total cost about 120 bucks.

Sorry, there are no plans.  I just messed around with a cardboard mock up until it fit right and looked right.  The rest of it is in my head........somewheres.
