While I'm partial to all the conversions I've done (and to those still on the drawing board) I have to admit
that the Imperial Cruiser has become my obsession. I've been working on this particular conversion since I bought my PT in
late 2002.
I don't think anyone has a question about the car being "retro" in appearance... Woodies look great, as do all
the other modifications that are available... but to me the style lines S-C-R-E-A-M "1935 Chrysler Airflow".
What... you never heard of an Airflow??? It was an automotive breakthrough in construction and design introduced
by Chrysler in 1934. And for all its "automotive advances" (and as much as Chrysler hates to admit it) the Airflow was the
Edsel of its time.
Review my pix and stuff below... and if you want to know more about the Airflow, please click the "Airflow
History" in the column to the left.

The pix above is actually a "promo" flyer... ergo the
web address. I added a few modifications (chrome piping on the seats, wide white walls, original "baby moon" hubcaps
with black beauty rings instead of the wire wheels, revamped the design on the low-rider skirts) from the original introduction
at the 2004 (I had taken a second place trophy in class back then). Maybe it was the "new" older look or perhaps it
was the direction of the wind... I'm not sure... but what ever it was it worked. Now I have to figure out where I'm
going from here... hummm...
maybe a Chrysler Windsor Highlander....better
yet...
how about a 1940 something Desoto Cruiser.... yeah!
That sounds like a challenge...
a Desoto...
damn, they had beautiful hood ornaments!
