NJ HIGHWAY PTrol CRUISER
introduced May, 2004
Growing up in the 50s and early 60s, I was captivated by TV. There seemed to be a flood of old 30s
and 40s "B" movies, mostly crime and gangster stuff along with a generous helping of westerns (no... I haven't figured out
how to do a "Hopalong Cassidy Cruiser".....yet). I wasn't aware of it at the time but the overall influence of "cops
and robbers" was taking its romantic toll... (not to mention DRAGNET and HIGHWAY PATROL) ... all in black and white on a 10
inch screen. The NJ HIGHWAY PTrol Cruiser is a picture postcard to those that remember Jack Webb and Broderick Crawford
in the hay-day of their careers. And to those that don't remember them.... well I guess its just a really cool cop car!
