Tournament Format

High School Qualifying Collegiate Qualifying
Four qualifying round tournaments held.
One or two squads each tournament.
Best 3-out-of-4 games, crossing lanes.
Bowlers may bowl in as many squads and in as
many qualifying round tournaments as they wish.
One qualifying round tournament held on Thanksgiving Day.
Several evening squads to choose from.
3 games, crossing lanes.
Re-entries are allowed.
South St. Louis County and Jefferson County qualifying round tournaments advance to the Finals:
2 bowlers in the Girls' Scratch Division,
4 bowlers in the Boys' Scratch Division,
2 bowlers in the Girls' Handicap Division,
& 4 bowlers in the Boys' Handicap Divsion.
Qualifying tournament advances to the Finals:
6 bowlers in the Women's Blue Division,
12 bowlers in the Men's Blue Division,
6 bowlers in the Women's Red Division,
& 12 bowlers in the Men's Red Division.
North St. Louis County and St. Charles County qualifying round tournaments advance to the Finals:
1 bowler in the Girls' Scratch Division,
2 bowlers in the Boys' Scratch Division,
1 bowler in the Girls' Handicap Division,
& 2 bowlers in the Boys' Handicap Divsion.
Match-Play Finals
The 6 High School Girls' Scratch Division Finalists are paired, by random draw, with the 6 Collegiate Women's Blue Division Finalists to form 6 doubles teams. Similarly, the High School Boys' Scratch Division is paired with the Collegiate Men's Blue Division, the High School Girls' Handicap Division is paired with the Collegiate Women's Red Division, & the High School Boys' Handicap Division is paired with the Collegiate Men's Red Division.
The High School Girls' Scratch/Collegiate Women's Blue and the High School Boys' Scratch/Collegiate Men's Blue Divisions bowl their finals on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
The High School Girls' Handicap/Collegiate Women's Red and the High School Boys' Handicap/Collegiate Men's Red Divisions bowl their finals on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
There is no pinfall carry-over from qualifying to the Finals.
Finalists bowl doubles Baker-system match-play competition (5 games + a 6th rolll-off game), 10 bonus points per win. Last game is a roll-off between the top 2 teams.
In the High School Girls' Handicap/Collegiate Women's Red & the High School Boys' Handicap/Collegiate Men's Red Division Finals on Saturday, teams receive handicap each game based on the high school bowler's entering average.
Prizes are awarded based on final doubles team standings.
