Installation notes for installing Mallard FS4 scenery in FS5. Hawaii, Tahiti, Japan and Grand Canyon =================================== - Insert the scenery disk into drive A: or B: - Change to the drive that Flight Simulator v.5.0 is installed on. (Example: C:) - Change to the Flight Simulator v.5.0 Scenery Directory. Remain in this directory for the next three steps. (Example: CD\FLTSIM5\SCENERY) - Install Mallard's Flight Simulator v.4.0 scenery - For Hawaii type either A:MS1 or B:MS1 depending on which drive the scenery disk is in. - For Tahiti type either A:MS2 or B:MS2 depending on which drive the scenery disk is in. - For Grand Canyon type either A:MS3 or B:MS3 depending on which drive the scenery disk is in. - For Japan type either A:MS4 or B:MS4 depending on which drive the scenery disk is in. - After the files have uncompressed, copy all Mode files to the Flight Simulator v.5.0 Pilots Situation Directory. (Example: COPY *.MOD C:\FLTSIM5\PILOTS) (Example: MOVE *.MOD C:\FLTSIM5\PILOTS) for DOS 6.0 users - Type DEL *.MOD - Once in Flight Simulator v.5.0 go to SCENERY LIBRARY under the SCENERY Menu and choose the scenery you want to fly, press (P) Pause or (Y) Slew Mode while you go to SITUATIONS under the OPTIONS Menu and choose the appropiate mode for that scenery. After selecting a situation/mode you may want to hit (Y) for Slew Mode again just in case you are placed above the scenery. ============================================================================= NOTE FOR JAPAN USERS: The aircraft featured in the Japan scenery will need to be updated to function properly with FS5. NOTE FOR GRAND CANYON USERS: The MS3COLOR program that comes the scenery to change the color palette will not work with FS5. An update will have to be made for that feature.
