In 1978, I started a line of frog drawings. Frogs, because they are so close to humans as far as arms and legs and movement (in my world, anyway). Jump ahead 20 years and I've gotten into 3D digital art on the computer. Now I am going back and making modern versions of my favorite drawings. These digitally done images are also available as posters at www.zazzle.com

2D When I made these originally, I printed the 8.5"x11" line drawing on vellum paper, then hand-painted each one. Most of these are scans with the initial coloring. Some have had backgrounds digitally added. |
3D The frog figures are posed within the Poser program. The furnishings and scene are composed, textures added and rendered in Bryce. The post-production work is done in Photoshop. |
