Fresh Earth Farms is proud to offer grass-fed, organic meat from Anderson Farm.  Anderson Farm, located in Arkansaw Wisconsin, has been raising environmentally sound beef, pork and chicken since 1994.  Lynn and Randy Anderson didn’t like the food found in local supermarkets – animals locked-up in a confined building over a manure pit with no fresh air or sunshine.  So they decided to grow their own.  Now you too can enjoy the delicious taste and nutritional benefits of grass-fed, organic meats with the added convenience of purchasing through your farm – Fresh Earth Farms!

Beef   

 

Anderson Farm raises grass-fed Black Angus Beef.  The cattle are raised on managed pastures and organic hay, producing lean, healthy meat.  Grass fed beef has the advantages of being richer in flavor, higher in Omega-3 fatty acids and higher in poly-unsaturated fats. The risk of BSE (mad cow disease) and E. coli are greatly reduced. Currently the U.S. livestock industry uses 25 million pounds of antibiotics on an annual basis. We are happy to say that Anderson Farm uses absolutely NONE!

Pork

 

Anderson Farm pigs are fed a variety of excess garden produce, organic grains and pastured as the seasons allow.

 

Chicken

 

Anderson Farm chickens are pasture-raised, rotationally grazing on grass with a feed ration. Each bird dresses out to about 3-5 lbs.

 

There are two ways to enjoy Anderson Farm meats: our monthly small pack program or our annual large pack program.

 

Monthly Small Pack Program

With our small pack program you will receive a monthly assortment of organic, grass-fed beef, pork and chicken.  From hot dogs and kielbasa to chicken thighs and pork chops – all produced without any hormones, antibiotics, MSG or nitrates.

Annual Large Pack Program

With our large pack program you can purchase freezer-sized portions of Anderson meats.  As with the small pack program the meat purchased in our large pack program is produced without any hormones, antibiotics, MSG or nitrates.  The

 

Beef is sold in the following portions: Whole, half and quarter.  A quarter will include half the cuts from one side of the cow.  Beef is sold by hanging weight.

The standard quarter package includes:

Roasts

 1 sirloin, 1 arm, 1 rump, 2 beef and 2 chuck, each about three lbs.

 40 lbs. packed in 1 lb packages

Short Ribs

 3-4 packs approximately 2 lbs each

Stew Meat

Chicken

 

Anderson Farm chickens are pasture-raised, rotationally grazing on grass with a feed ration. Each bird dresses out to about 3-5 lbs.

Chickens are sold by dressed weight in packages of six.

 

Pricing: Please see MeatShare pricing for more details.  Prices include standard processing and delivery to Fresh Earth Farms.  A $75 non-refundable deposit per ¼ cow and ½ hog is required with your order.  A non-refundable $5.00 per bird is required with your chicken order.  To order, please fill out an order form and submit it with your deposit.  Once the final weight is determined you will be notified of your total due; final payment is due upon notification.

 

Delivery & Restrictions:  Beef, Pork and Chicken will be delivered to Fresh Earth Farms on July 11, 2009 and November 14, 2009.  All meat is frozen.  Customers are required to pick-up their order on the date specified.  Fresh Earth Farms has no capacity to store customer purchases.  If demand is insufficient, we reserve the right to cancel the purchases and refund the customer’s deposit.
