thought

Inversions are important asanas, very calming to the central nervous system. They're not about upper-body strength as much as they are about your core. Place your hands and arms, drive down thru them like a mad dog. Then use your core, and vertical will happen. Can you find tadasana in every pose?

practice

Alma Largey came to yoga via a 10 year career as a professional modern dancer and choreographer. She is currently an OM certified vinyasa and prenatal yoga teacher, as well as volunteering to offer yoga to special-needs children at the East Village Coummity Services (ECVS). Alma is also a personal trainer.
