Pat Freeman, nee Cleo Pohl, age 82, passed away July 14, 2004 in Ventura, California.
Many schoolmates thought her name was Cleopatra. However, she just didn't care for her given name of Cleo, so chose Pat instead.
She was born in Camas, Washington, October 26, 1921, and graduated from Washougal High School, where she played clarinet in the band. Pat held many different jobs with various companies from 1943 to 1982.
Pat and her husband Marvin owned homes in Lancaster and Nipomo, California. They enjoyed clamming and often treated their family to homemade clam chowder. They also enjoyed traveling in their small motor home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years Marvin Freeman, who passed away June 8, 2004; and by her parents, Albert and Eva Pohl, her brothers, Ted and Daryl Pohl and her sisters, Ivy Pohl Lehman and Opal Pohl Thompson.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Gary "Bear" Smith, nine nieces and nephews; her stepsons Jerry and Michael Freeman and stepdaughter Clota Honea, eight grandchildren and a growing number of great-grandchildren.
