April 23, 2009 - Bob Chuway passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Here is a link to the obituary in the Tribune.  Our prayers and condolences go out to his family at this difficult time.
 

April 14, 2009 -  Bob Warnock's wife Sylvia passed away on 4/13/09 after a three year battle with cancer.  If you would like to send a card to Bob, please email to norwin64@earthlink.net and I will send you his address.  Our prayers are with you Bob at this difficult time.

April 5, 2009 - Sad news, classmate Phil Falcocchio passed away on April 4,2009.  Phil fell ill while doing something he loved, playing the drums.  Our condolences go out to Phil's wife, Audrey, and their children. Ellis McCutcheon (Norwin Class of 1962) wrote a book about a 1959 murder in Irwin.  Speaking with Ellis recently, he remembered many if us in the class of 1964.  Ellis is retired now and resides in Central Florida.
The book is no longer available in paperback however you can
 obtain a PDF copy for $6.00 via email.  Ellis also wrote a novel about
growing up in the Norwin area, it's called "The Playground", it is available in paperback for $7.95 for Norwin graduates.  Click below to see a flier regarding this book.

 Since 2003 "Chip"served as the Commander, U.S. Marine Forces Pacific; Commanding General, Fleet Marine Force, Pacific; and Commander, U.S. Marine Corps Bases, Pacific, headquartered at Camp H. M. Smith, Hawaii until his retirement in August of 2005 after 37 years with the USMC.

 Chip held the position of Chief Operating Officer with the United States Olympic Committee from September 2005 until spring of 2006. 

On May 13, 2009 Chip was sworn in as Assistant Secretary of Defense, Asian and Pacific Security Affairs.

Prior to his White House appointment he managed his own consultant corporation, WCG and Associates International, LLC, concentrating on national security policy, defense, and Asian security issues and resided in Colorado.
