Wind the ends onto bobbins, put the bobbins onto a creel. Thread the ends through a tension box. Then thread the headles of a table loom in tabby. Then thread reed of a table loom. |
Thread back reed then, the tension bars, then the front reed. Adjust the tension bar to allow the group of threads to flow evenly. Too much tension will cause wear on the threads though. |
Wind your warp onto your warping real.
Note that the table loom's shed is down. It is better if the headles are at the level of the cloth beam, makes less friction on the threads. |
Make a threading cross, individual threads making the cross, at one end. Make a rattle cross, grouped threads making the cross, at the other end. |
Use the table loom to make your threading cross. |
