	This piece is a visual feast of form, shape and texture, due to the fact it was created from the root portion of one of the Black Walnut trees referred to on the previous page. The warrior's hat and head are smooth and shiny, bringing out the wonderful grain and rich color of the walnut wood. The warrior's beard and hair flow down through the piece into the root portion of the tree trunk. This piece is large enough, and, placed on its own table or pedestal, would make a striking focal point in most any decor.

The warrior's beard flowing into the wood gives the illusion of movement.	You will notice the artist has signed the piece on the back.
You can see in this view how the subject flows all the way down to the absolutely natural, unfinished in any way, root of the tree.	This view shows the magnificent grain and the rich, warm color of the Black Walnut. It almost looks alive!
