It was a quiet Tuesday in March when owner Peter Smith, of Frames Galore in Sherman Oaks, CA., got an urgent call from
Lynchpin Productions. They were doing filming for an episode of a new show on the Style Network called “Tacky House”
and needed a picture frame shop to provide a location for filming and to perform a framing service. When Peter asked when
they needed to do the filming, they said “tomorrow!”. And when he asked when they needed the framing service done
, they said “by tomorrow night!”.
The next day, the framing materials were delivered, the film crew filmed the design scene till 3:00pm and by 9:00pm, Peter
had finished the very challenging framing project for pick-up. This was not the first time Frames Galore has performed such
services for the T.V. industry. In 2006, Peter framed all the memorabilia for the “Big Brother All Stars” show.
The display frame done for Tacky House was 42” X 42” and some of the items framed were a Korean Flag and Currency
, Chop Sticks, a Fribee, a silver flask, a small Budda and an arrangment of photos and postcards. (See Photo)
Tacky House is a new series on the Style Network hosted by designer Thom Filicia (“Queer Eye for The Straight Guy“)

episode was debuted on June 16th and will be re-run regularly on The Style network. For more info about Tacky House
