Hiring a Mentor or Coach

  When deciding on a mentor or a coach, here are some of the qualities to look for—
      - A good listener and able to empathize;
      - Respect for other people’s thoughts and opinions;
      - Flexibility to understand alternative points of view;
      - A passion for business, and for new ideas;
      - Honesty in all things, including expression and thought;
      - Experience in various businesses and careers;
      - Well-travelled, confident and encouraging;
      - Capable of giving practical advice;
      - A supportive hands-off approach, that allows you to make and take responsibility for your own decisions;
      - Eager to offer their time and skills for your benefit.
    Mentors and coaches are not consultants. Look for someone to advise you based on their own unique experience. My role as your mentor is to support you, encourage you and challenge you.
    May I do that for you?   (Yes, let me see the 100 day plan now!)

    How to get the most out of this supportive collaborator — Make a commitment to your individual goals: Focus on what is important to you and your personal agenda. Think and reflect on business and other issues in a quiet place that is totally directed towards you and your needs. Address challenges, habits and behaviors that you know are hindering you. Start doing something about your future now - not tomorrow - Now! You will get faster and better results if you do these things, and your business will  move to a higher level.
    Do you remember those exciting days when you started out? How thrilled you were with all the possibilities that lay ahead - all the potential you felt and the riches you were going to enjoy. How many of those dreams are still unrealized dreams? You probably talked excitedly about your dreams with friends. Where are those friends now? They are either off being excited about their own businesses or careers, or they are buried under a load of responsibilities and family affairs. Using a mentor to focus on you, and take your business to the next level, is a way to recapture those early dreams and turn them into reality.
    My job is to advance your economic progress by giving you the support and stimulation you need to reach your goals. May I? (Yes, let's do it!)
